    Hi Lucky

I am so full of admiration for you. It could be worth keeping a paper diary or perhaps a spreadsheet of your DH's moods and share it with the medicos.

I'm afraid my outcome wasn't great - my ex's rages escalated into violence, and we split up 5 years after his accident. I kept our GP informed, his response when we split up was "I don't know how you kept going so long".

However, he is now reasonable. He says he misses the old him, and even told me he's sorry for the way he treated me. I miss the old him, too.

    Hugs for you x

    Hello Be Lucky,

I have just read your diary from beginning to end and all I can say is be proud of yourself and please spend some of your birthday money on you - even if it is on new bras which are a need now.

Best wishes from a fellow 11/09 birthday girl

Hi PLMBL, I have just been catching up with all your news. Congratulations!! What wonderful news :) I hope you are keeping well and getting some rest.

I also hope you and DH soon get some news about his MRI. I would chase it up too. When I had mine the consultant found a shorter list at another hospital and I was able to queue jump a bit.

That is so sad :(. I completely understand how things would get so tough you had to leave, not just from my situation with DH but also because my Dad was an alcoholic and my Mum said the same thing when she eventually left him - she loved and missed the old him but she didn't even like the 'new' guy he had become. I wish you every happiness and hugs right back at you smiley-hug008.gif.

Ah someone else who knows what I mean by the 'head tilt' when you give your birthdate! I hope you had a lovely day too.
Thanks for taking the time to read my whole diary - mighty impressed that you managed to stay awake smiley-sleep027.gif.

Hi Pooh, hope things are well with you. I will definitely suggest another hospital to the consultant. Xx

  • Ok so yesterday was jam packed, starting at 8am with a 2 hour commute into town to get my hair cut when it should have only taken 20 minutes . Lots of roads were closed due to flooding and whilst the roads I needed to use were still open, they were gridlocked due to the sheer volume of traffic trying to pass through them. I'd left home an hour before my appointment to give more than enough time to drive through rush hour and get parked, but I ended up still being an hour late. This then meant I only had time to get my colour (I'm a model for the trainee so I get it done very cheaply but it takes much longer obviously), and I barely had time to even get it dried (badly) before I had to leave and rush back home for the playgroup meeting.

By the time I arrived at the playgroup meeting I looked a right mess as my hair wasn't right to start with and then I got rained on and I was all a lather from rushing. Thank goodness I wasn't asking them for a job as I think they would have laughed at me! Anyhow, the upshot is that they are opening for 2 hours per day until they get their ofsted registration and I'm putting DS2 in for 2 mornings per week. So that's £12 per week I need to find :(.

Afterwards I collected DH and DS2 from MIL and DH then went to help his friend shift some furniture while I had a shower and re did my hair before collecting DS1 from after school football club. It was another quick turn around when DH was dropped back home by his friend as I needed to take him and the boys back to MIL while I went to fat class. I gained half a pound but I'm ok with that as I feel like I've sprouted. Can't remember having a bump as early as 8 weeks before!! Hope there is just the one in there!!

After that I collected DS2 and DH from MIL (DS1 had been dropped off by them at cubs earlier), came home and ate my first meal since breakfast, collected DS1 from cubs and then went straight back out for a Beavers/Cubs/Scouts meeting. Finally got home at 9.30pm absolutely wrecked.

Today has been much more chilled out apart from DS2's meltdown in Mr A's because I wouldn't buy him a toy and then his subsequent putting my iphone in my glass of coke . I think it's ok as I dried it with a hairdryer and it's now in a bag of rice to suck out any moisture. I was not amused .

On the plus side I've spoken to someone in community legal advice today who thinks DH will qualify for low rate components of both care and mobility DLA :T. If he does we will be £41 a week better off. Fingers, toes, eyes and ears crossed Xx

Gosh I'm exhausted just reading that, let alone doing it.

You really should try to make sure you are eating regular through the day, remember you are eating for at least 2 now :rotfl: Perhaps pack a quick lunch in case you don't have time to stop, you have it with you then wherever you are at lunch time.

Story about DS strop in Mr A when you wouldn't buy him a toy reminded me of DGD1 funny. I took her Christmas shopping the year before last to buy for her special people as DS had just lost his job. We didn't spend a lot but enough considering we were buying for 2 DGP, which included me at her insistence, her DM and DF and new baby to come in May! plus 3 DGGP and DD. She was so good I bought her a toy as well. So imagine my dismay when she demanded a £1 ball from the rubbish plastic toy machines at the front of Mr A. I refused to which she sat down in the middle of the floor and tied her scarf around her knees. When I asked her nicely to get up, she replied "I cant my scarf is in the way" Needless to say I was dying to laugh at her cheek whilst trying to act cross. Made me smile to think about that :D

  • Aren't kids brilliant Granny?? Even when they are being pains in the butt there is usually something to smile about!

Well yesterday I went to zumba in the morning and then work last night. The only bad point to the day being the credit card bill from LTSB. Their kind offer of 0% for 6 months followed by 5.9% for 6 months is now well and truly over and they have put it up to 22.9%. We were paying £150 per month before and the bill was reducing nicely with that and the little extras we were able to make, but they now want £270 per month minimum and about £200 of that will go back on in interest smiley-sad032.gif.

I'm off to work in an hour for a 7 hour shift smiley-sad049.gif Xx

LOL at the birth date "head tilt", like the atrocities were your fault for having that as your birth date.

Yes I had a nice but quiet day, recovering from surgery so my excitement was coffee and cake at the garden centre, not even a wander round :j

Try taking your phone to pieces and laying in the airing cupboard (the phone, not you), worked for DS when he fell in the river whilst fishing

    Best wishes to you

Sorry to hear you've had surgery, I hope your recovery is quick and pain free!

    The last few days have disappered in a blur of work and morning sickness! Some good points though;
    1) Told my boss I'm pregnant and the news was well received! I know I didn't need to say anything yet but I needed to explain why I was feeling yucky at work so it felt right to tell the truth.
    2) Made £72.05 profit on ebay. :T
    3) I'm sure there was a 3rd but I can't for the life of me remember what :rotfl::rotfl:.

Some (insert profanity of your choice) reversed into my car yesterday though while we were both in a queue of traffic. He'd ended up across a zebra crossing so backed up without looking and ended up bumping the front of my car. He then indicated as if he was going to turn in and stop but shot off. Luckily I'd already made a note of his reg number but I actually saw him park up and run away!! We took photos of his car etc but it looks like he was worse off than us, with some of his paint being on our car rather than us losing any. I can't believe anyone would do that! In broad daylight and infront of lots of people too!!!
