When I asked for luck I didn't mean the bad variety!!!

You won't believe this!! We got a call from the hospital this morning to say the Consultant Radiographer had reviewed DS2s X-ray from yesterday and wasn't happy with it, so could we possibly go back so they could X-ray him from a different angle. Upshot is IT IS BROKEN
He's cracked his radius and they have put him in a temporary plaster. We need to go back to fracture clinic in the morning to see the consultant there & have a more permanent plaster put on. What with my appointment on Thursday, that will mean we have been at the hospital every day for a week!! It's cost a fortune in fuel and parking
I just feel so fed up. What else can go wrong??!!Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Don't think like that! Nothing else will go wrong!
Poor DS2, that must be very painful. Luckily children generally heal fast.
You carry on looking after yourself too.

Thanks Piq! I've pulled myself round a little bit. I think I was extra emotional yesterday as I should have had a midwife appointment and for some reason that bothered me more than I expected it to. Mainly though, I just felt so bad for DS2, like I've passed my bad luck on to him
. But onwards and upwards eh?!
So my wee man has a funky blue permanent plaster on. He wasn't best pleased with the hour long delay in fracture clinic, having the temporary plaster taken off, having his arm examined or having the new plaster put on BUT he has been sooooo much happier with it since then.We have to go back in 2 weeks.
I've got my appointment in the morning for a scan to check everything has gone for my womb. I've got everything crossed it has and I don't need any further procedures but if I'm honest I'm not so sure it has. I was told the bleeding would stop when it was clear and it still hasn't after a week.
I've had a nice evening tonight though. My lovely sis has been over :j.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

The wee man will be fine. All children get bruises, cuts and knocks. That's children, not you passing on anything! My nephew managed to break both arms swinging on a gate. Meaning both arms in plaster, can't remember what colour the plaster was, it's life and children.
I hope the scan goes okay and you get the all clear. Whatever the results, try to find a little time for you, just to do something or nothing, whatever you need most.

Hope everything goes ok today with the scan. It is normal to still be bleeding after a week, I know I did x
Love and hugs to you and DS and don't even think that his accident is your fault, children have all sorts of bumps and scrapes as they grow up xTargets

Scan went ok. Pregnancy has gone but there is tissue left. I was offered the choice of a D&C, medication to help it all pass or to let nature take its course & go back in 10 days for another scan to make sure it's clear. I chose option 3 after they assured me there was no risk of infection. The first 2 options involve time in hospital which I really don't want.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Feeling a bit more positive today and ready to get back on track with debt busting. I say that, but actually we have the least amount of money to do this with than we have had for ages. I haven't had any job 1 wages since my last full pay in July and then a small holiday pay in August, and DH's benefit hasn't been adjusted in any way to reflect this. Infact, they've had my payslips nearly 3 weeks and still haven't got back to us.
The main bugbear at the minute is the LTSB card we have. I've already mentioned this, as they gave us great rates for the last year after DH's acident but they have now put it up to 22.9%. Most of our debt is on this card so it means from a minimum payment of £275, £205 will go back on in interest:(:(:(. We will struggle to find the £275 never mind have it 'wasted' on interest. I plan to go in to the branch that were so helpful last year to see if anything else can be done, though I don't hold out much hope. The arrangements we had in place previously were 'in-house' arrangements and I think the only other option now would be credit affecting arrangements. In some ways this doesn't matter as I never want another credit card or loan etc, but on the other hand I've worked really hard to avoid this over the last 16 months and I'd be annoyed to 'lose' now. Also, the only other type of credit may seek in the future is another mortgage to move house and I don't want to jeopardise that either. My mind boggles with all the possibilities.
I went back to work last night after a week off. Everyone thought I'd still be off but the fact of the matter is we need the money and I don't get paid when I'm off. I felt well enough to go and it was only a 3 hour shift so nice and short but I was still shattered afterwards. Got a 6 hour shift tomorrow so fingers crossed I get through that ok.
Free listing on ebay this weekend so will trawl through the bootsale pile that is still taking over half my bedroom and see if there is anything worth putting on there. We REALLY need to do that bootsale asap.
I've also been slacking on my surveys and competitions so I'm going to settle down to those tonight after the boys are in bed.
Sorry if this is a waffly post. I'm just trying to make sense of the whirlwind in my head.

Hello Be Lucky :hello: I'm glad to hear you're feeling a bit better, but sorry to hear that like me, you're having trouble with that bank  - they jumped the rate on my CC too (after telling me it was at 0% for another nine months).
Am a bit worried about your six hour shift today; hope someone else will be cooking your dinner at the end of it as you can expect to feel really carp - has your GP given you a script for iron and vitamins? The iron injections work best but are very painful.
Thanks for the heads-up about Ebay - wondering about selling my telly as I don't think it'll work properly at the cottage (unless things have changed now that we have digital signals?). Ebay must surely be a better option for you than doing a boot-sale at this time of year; heaving around lots of boxes and standing in a cold field for hours..
How are your Hubby and DS?
Thinking of you (((hugs))) I think you're doing ever so well.0 -
plmbl I hope that you get some help from the bank. If not try chinteranging to a different bank that has more reasonable rates if you can. It does often depend on who you see or speak to in the branch though to get help. My bank decided to lower my overdraft by £100 a month but I have negotiated it to £40 a month over the Autumn/Winter as we have a lower income this time of year.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
