  • Hi Lucky

You do amazing and I am sure your DH knows that. You always lash out at the people you love most. I am sure he would be devestated if he realised how much he had hurt you.

To try and cheer you up a little and probably remind you of your DSs..

  • Thank you everyone :A. I do appreciate how I'm feeling is probably more to do with my (lack of) self worth than what DH actually said, but it's been the icing on the cake. I don't think I'm coping like I should. I hate what I see in the mirror, my confidence as a Mum is repeatedly challenged by DS1, DH has complained about my caring skills, DS2 is at that age where he can be very demanding, and I'm probably going to have to give up on Beavers too. I'm struggling to see any positives in myself at the moment.

    Sorry for the moan Xx

    Amazing Things done by Lucky:

    • She managed to hold it together when her husband had a serious motorcycle accident leaving him with many difficulties and unable to work.
    • She took on two jobs to keep her family going and to work on her debts.
    • She worked hard to save every penny and cut her debts down by 86% in 3 years.
    • She is looking after her two young children, husband and a group of Beavers!
    • She is strong for herself, her family and a huge number of people she hasnt met on a money saving forum.
Tell me Lucky, does this sound like someone who is not strong, not useful, not supportive? You are amazing and know that all these people who visit your diary know this and want to support you through all the hard times in your life. Keep positive and remember we are all here to listen to your woes, laugh with your highs and cheer at your successes!

Well said October, love that image :)

Lucky, children are difficult to deal with when they are testing boundaries, which is what DS1 is doing right now. Couple that with all you've been through over the last 4 years and it's enough to make the strongest person run for the hills. You do an amazing job every day and most of us gaze in awe at your abilities.

Please don't see giving up Beavers as a failure, instead focus on it as an achievement over the last 2 years. You've run an amazing class and now it's time to pass the baton to someone else.

Lots of love, hugs & understanding my dear - men can be pretty insensitive at times & sadly Mr Lucky probably doesn't realise how much he hurt you
