  • Yes DF(w) it's officially Christmas. I know this because the coca-cola truck advert has been on and I heard East 17's song 'stay another day' today. :rotfl:

I love the Xmas ads but I liked last year's John Lewis one best with the snowman! M&S ones haven't been that good the last couple of years - they make a big fus - then it's a let down. The coke one never lets you down though! Love it! My fave Xmas song is a toss up between Mariah Carey and The Pogues!
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Nope, I can't pin down my favourite Christmas song SA. It certainly isn't Cliff Richard though, I know that much :rotfl:.

I've had a productive day. Good work out at the gym this morning, bit of shopping this afternoon and weighed in a bag of old clothes while I was out, homework with DS1 after school and then Beavers tonight.

Bit of telly and then bed. Jobs'a good'un!

I hate "that" Pogues song, and wasn't very impressed with the JL Christmas advert (or the Cadbury's advert): I'm obviously being bah-humbug, although I love Christmas!
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
  • Then I give myself a shake and realise that what I have these days is worth so much more. I might be a skint carer/pizza maker but I'm rich in family and friends, more so than I was then!

And that's exactly how it should be! :D

Has anyone tried the chick pea dahl loaf? My friend wanted to try it and between us we decided she could try making them into balls like onion bahjis and add onion to the recipe too. She bought them into work and they were sooo lush. she ended up putting them into muffin cases and baking them like that as the mixture was too wet to handle.
They are not excatly onion bahjis obviously but they are Indian snack-ish and will certainly help me have an Indian takeaway without falling off the wagon. We are going to try them again and add a few more spices too.

And did i mention they are free!!!!!!

EDIT-oops wrong thread but as you are at fat club too, you may enjoy it lol
