Me and my OH decided to stick with our two Ds's and then after ten years we had an Oops pregnancy and Ds no 3 appeared, did take abit of adjustment but wouldn't be without him. OH did.nt have the snip and I haven't been sterilized, even though I don't want anymore children, I don't like the idea of not being able to have children, if you see what I mean. Don't rush into any decisions until you are absolutely sure.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000

After years of going through what you've been through over the last 2 years, I too decided I'd stick with the 2 I had. Then I met OH and we had a scare, a visit to the drs had us convinced we were expecting. A trip to the chemist said otherwise. After a full and frank discussion between us, we revealed how relieved we were. Follow this up with another trip to the drs and a fairly positive 'you are expecting' diagnosis. Needless to say OH and I were horrified as we both knew how the other felt.
Eventually I was found to have cervical cancer and not a baby and the option was taken from me. Until my DGD was born I struggled with this outcome, as I felt I'd deprived OH of the chance to be a dad and often felt broody myself. Now I'm glad we don't have a teenager to deal with but at the time it was hard.
Give your body and mind time to recover from your bereavements, don't make any rash decisions.

Thanks for all your input guys, we won't do anything 'final' for a while and see how the land lies.
Well the Remembrance Day service went without a hitch this morning :T. Boys are currently playing with the kids next door and DH and I are going to continue the painting we started yesterday afternoon. Hopefully a NSD again.

Lol I'm honoured to be the first Fudgie!!:rotfl:
Really think I'm back in the game this time with the weight loss. It doesn't seem hard to stick to it, even when DH has pizza and doughnuts like he did last night!
Got lots of painting done this afternoon (doing all the woodwork in the hall). Skirting boards are all done, the downstairs half of the banister and most of the downstairs door frames/doors. Still lots left to do though and it's been fun trying to keep the boys away from all the wet stuff!! NSD achieved though.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Sounds like you've had a productive day Lucky. Re weight loss - you have to be in the right frame of mind for it to work and thankfully you are! You should be proud of yourself because you've achieved so much in all areas of your life.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Thank you SA, that's kind of you to say. Sometimes I think about my old life as a bank manager with a decent salary and wish I still had that. Then I give myself a shake and realise that what I have these days is worth so much more. I might be a skint carer/pizza maker but I'm rich in family and friends, more so than I was then!
On a totally different topic, am I the only one that cries at the new J0hn Lew1s advert with the bear?Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
