When I asked for luck I didn't mean the bad variety!!!

PLMBL - you are a fantastic mum and we all need to have a break, as much as we all love our children we do need a little peace and quiet.
I got a couple of hours this morning, DH went to see his mum and took the 2 terrors with him, so I vegged on the sofa watching Ugly Betty, it was bliss.0 -
You lot just made me cry!! Thanks for your kind words.
I feel on a real rollercoaster of emotions and it's making me feel a bit of a failure. I know some people have it much worse than me and I'm trying not to be full of self pity but it all gets a bit much sometimes. I'm really glad I've got this diary to say how I'm feeling or I would go nuts. Well more nuts! XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Never doubt; you're doing a fantastic job Lucky!
Two kids who are fed up with each other can be such hard work.. Getting them outside to run off some energy is a great idea - hope it did the trick and your boys are mates again.
Also fingers crossed DH succeeds at his task without adverse side-effects.

Hi Lucky - hope you're feeling a bit brighter by now. Take the opportunity to have a break from the boys - it'll do you good - them too, they'll get spoilt rotten by your mum I bet! Funny but Mr SA used to get riled by one of our cats who used to wake us up in the middle of the night miaowing. I always said I would choose the cat over him anytime! And so glad to hear your grandma is much better.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Thank you both :A.
DH didn't get home until midnight . He looked awful when he got back and said he felt iffy. A couple of times his friend and my Sister had made him take rest breaks, but he still did too much. We went straight to bed and he went straight to sleep but he snored terribly which is unusual and he was very jerky. I think he was just over tired but I lay awake worrying about a seizure. The last time I looked at the clock it was around 3.15am. DS2 then woke me up at 6.30am. I'm shattered. DH stayed asleep until 8.30am and seems ok now. I've told him we aren't going to gym and he's doing a whole lot of nothing today. Xx

:grouphug: <dodgy hugs> I think you sound like you need some xx
I hope you're planning on doing a whole load of nothing too and not just DH? He may have just been sleeping like that because of exhaustion as I know my hubby does that too (jerky & snores loud..)

Like the sound of this DFW! Sounds very appealing to me sat here at my desk at work!
Hope things are ok with you today LuckyxxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Thank you DF(W) and SA for the dodgy hugs and well wishes. We had a chilled out morning at home and enjoyed the peace while both boys were at school. After we collected DS2 from nursery and had lunch we ventured as far as Mr A's as we had run out of bread, cereal and milk. DH loaded the trolley with sweet stuff. I've noticed he craves sugar after a dodgy day so I let him get away with it. He better eat it all though because I'm still on the diet wagon. It was still a profitable trip though because while I was there my boss handed me a £20 voucher which is a Christmas bonus :T. It's double staff discount day tomorrow so it's well timed for using for Christmas present purchasing.

Hey lucky
You think you're a bad mum??? Crikey-oh no way!! (you should meets OHs ex!! :rotfl:) Seriously though: you're far from it! You adore your boys, and always always put your family first!
Kids are really hard work, and veeeeery trying sometimes. I sometimes feel bad when I think 'just give me 10 mins to myself please!!!!' when there's a knock on the bedroom door!
You NEED time to yourself, for yourself. To think. To not think. To pamper. To read. To chill. To recharge. To sing into a hairbrush. Whatever! It's for YOU
I say 'enjoy the peace and quiet'And thanks to mum for helping out

Thanks HAW. Feeling more balanced today, it's amazing how much perspective can be gained after a full night's sleep!
Been to Mr A's this morning and spent a fortune as it's double staff discount day. Got most of the things on DS1's Christmas list and the remaining things for DS2, and will divvy them out between my Mum, MIL and I. I would have saved £23 on it anyway with my discount card but it was satisfying to save £46 instead.
