I hope things are settled down again now too Lucky. Strange but Mr SA jerks in his sleep a lot - is this to do with brain injuries?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Hi both, thanks for dropping in.
SA, I think the jerky movements are common after a brain injury, something to do with less oxygen getting through. Have they said seizures are a possiblility for Mr SA? I hope not for you.
HAW, things have been calmer today thank you. DH and I went to the gym this morning and then round to see MiL early afternoon after collecting DS2. Late afternoon I spent an hour cleaning the midden that is DS1's bedroom . Tonight was Beavers as usual. Only 3 more sessions until we break for Christmas :j, I'm wondering how late I can get away with for starting back in January?!:D.
Another NSD today :T And I think AF may have finally left the building :T.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

That's a lovely thing to say Tuna, thank you. It must be hard dealing with Mr Tuna's symptoms but you always sound so upbeat. I hope you are feeling better now too XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Yes, we normally go back the week after the schools do Pooh, so that would make it the 13th Jan. I was hoping for more like the 30th.
I have no plans to clean up after my DS1 when he's 27. 9 is bad enough! He kept telling me his room was only a mess because his little brother kept getting things out and leaving them strewn around. However that didn't explain the empty biscuit packets, bits of paper that had been part written/drawn on and discarded, dust bunnies and sticky patches where juice had been spilt on the shelf and then just left not mopped up . Xx

Oh I have plenty of sympathy for the messy kids rooms
! I spent 3 hours cleaning DS1's room last week! It was such a mess I had to even bleach the carpet clean and use a clothes brush to get the ingrained dirt out. I'm not usually allowed in there and he'd told me it was clean. His idea of cleanliness are obviously different to mine

You two put me to shame, Lucky and DFw!
..When I first got ill with ME the kids had to take over their own rooms (generally shared due to pressure of space). Yes they did get messy in early days, but "clearing up" was a legitimate chore so it wasn't too long before standards improved (maybe a little rivalry helped?).
Everyone had to volunteer to do some kind of daily chore if they wanted a share of the Saturday Bonanza (couldn't afford fixed amounts of pocket-money for up to six kids, so DH and I put all our loose coins in a box every night (kept in our - private- room). At the time I was getting a lot of change in tips - was still trying to work normally despite weird undiagnosed symptoms.
Once a week the kids split however much we'd collected - they 'policed' themselves, refusing to share with anyone who hadn't pulled their weight, or caused hassle for the rest.
It worked well; the teens sorted out each child's pile of coins and then usually took the whole tribe off to the Post Office with their savings books, where spendthrift souls had the option of purchasing sweets and crisps without Mum watching. Wiser children saved up for holiday spends or personal 'desires'.0 -
Robin that sounds like a cracking plan!!
I didn't know you had ME (or if I did I had forgotten sorry). Obviously I realised you struggled but I'm not sure I'd realised what with. My Dad also had ME at the peak when everyone thought it was 'yuppie flu'. He was in bed for 2 years with it and then took a long time to build back up towards 'normal'. Unfortunately at that time he decided he could stop the tablets and self medicate with alcohol, and we lost him not long after. Xx

On a brighter note, I've lost 4lbs this week :j Thrilled doesn't begin to cover it. I've now lost 20lbs since I set my mini challenge 9 weeks ago to lose 3 stones before Christmas. I don't think I'll reach my target (unless I cut a limb off!!), but I feel much better already.
Lovely £10 landed in P@yp@l for a survey I did for eb@y. Took 5 mins.
