My cousin got married 5 years ago, the bride had a massive list of dos and don'ts for the wedding guests. She forbid my cousins brother to have his desperately needed op on his leg until after the wedding as the cast would 'ruin' her photos.

You guessed it he had the op, was in a cast and she wouldn't let him be in the pics.

    They're divorced now...

My brothers getting wed in a few weeks and has an enormous beard, as does my oh, my dad, bro-in laws...the bride will be left out!

I had a see through white dress lady as well, my cousin's gf. Could see her thong through it. I wasn't bothered though, you'd be a pretty shoddy bride to be upstaged by a bit of dental floss on a flibbertygibbet.

I can go one better than that, a bimbo turned up dressed in an identical outfit to your "lady" at my 1st father in law's funeral

Should have expected it from her though, she was in her early 20s and shacked up with an 82 year old. I have nothing against big age gaps but the fact she'd banned his children and grandchildren from his house, and taken him to visit her solicitor to sort his will, within a fortnight of moving in left noone with any doubt of her intentions :(

I have never seen a wedding where the ladies are not wearing hats - respect to your MIL:D

I never actually put the requests on my invitations, I just thought my MIL would respect me enough to listen to me but obviously not.

I've hardly seen any weddings where someone is wearing a hat and if there is then it is usually only 1 person.

I think hats look horrible on people and especially fascinators. There is only 1 type of hat that I like but I don't think it is that popular any more.

If that was me, I would've told her where to stuff the invite! :(

I couldn't give a flying !!!! what people wore to my wedding. I was just pleased to see them and to share my happy day with the people I love. :)

Crikey, what's all the fuss about hats for? There are more important things to worry about on your wedding day, surely?

As for the beard thing........it HAS to be a joke.......doesn't it?

Do ensure the bride gets the same instruction over to the women guests:
