Strange Request for a wedding?

I think your OH will have to speak to his boss about it. Are they best friends?
It depends how important his beard is to him - maybe for someone he loves like a brother he might be prepared to get rid of his beard for the day, but then again somebody that close to him wouldn't ask such a thing of him.
I suppose it's the equivalent of asking all the women to dye their hair the same colour or get it cut in the same style - perhaps I'd do it for a sibling or very close friend, but not for someone I wasn't that close to - I'd just decline their invite.
Would the happy couple mind if you just gave their wedding a miss?52% tight0 -
Ooooh - just thought of something else.
When they have the obligatory shot of everyone with the Bride and Groom at the front get everyone to whip out fake mustaches (no idea how to spell that!) so the photo is "enhanced"!0 -
Have they copied and pasted the text from their invites from a posh do they've been to?!
I would think not as they would only then say Military No1's and maybe, just maybe, Black tie or Morning Dress but highly unlikely to the latter.
More likely she's trying to be posh and failing.0 -
I have read this thread all the way through and have been chuckling to myself over it! :rotfl:
I can't wait to find out if this is for real or what.
I haven't been to that many weddings in my time, so I can't share any funny bridezilla moments with you I'm afraid.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670 -

I once went to a friends wedding, both Bride and Groom are very keen bikers. Bridezilla mother in law was whinging about "bunch of scruffy bikers". So we all turned up on bikes, wearing leathers and a shirt and tie. :cool:0

I can't believe thats for real ! Either someone is having a joke or just being totally rude. I have not heard of this as a religious custom or cultural tradition and if it were I would expect they would explain it to you.
If it were me - I would make a point of growing my beard as long as possible. Perhaps even dying it a bright colour !! Unless there is a good explination its really rude.0 -
This lady is seriously beardist and must be reported to the Beard Police immediately.0

I'd go in morning attire = pyjamas.0
