It's really appreciated
I feel a lot better today, seeing Grandma definitely helped. She's on crutches, which she hates, but she's got some basic stretching exercises to get on with before she does 'proper' physio, and my aunty and cousins came over which cheered her up no end.
I've also made a list of all the things I want to get done before I start rehearsals IN EIGHT DAYS!!! (Can you tell I'm excited?) Feeling a lot more productive and focussed. Top priority is losing my misery weight :rotfl:
I'm going to try and write down three things that I'm grateful for, or nice things that have happened, every day (I read it in a book somewhere..) so here goes:
1: Seeing my youngest cousin (10 months) wearing his mummy's shades.
2: I took time to pamper myself a bit this morning - face pack, hair mask, leg defuzz (seriously overdue!), body scrub, the works!
3: My grandma surprised me by getting really into the wheelchair rugby
Right, I'm going to head off to read before bed time. Night!2019 Aim: Save £10,000

Evening!
Had a productive day today, did lots of cleaning, shopping (only food, I've totally run out of money!) and general sorting. All the sorted paperwork is now on my bed ready to be filed away.
I've given up sugar and junk food this week, partly because of vanity and having gone up a dress size, and partly because I was spending money on it every day. It's going alright so far, although I really fancy a glass of vino! Just need to wait until Friday...
And my 3 reasons to be cheerful today...
1: I got my scripts through for my contract and I got excited all over again. Six days til rehearsals start!
2: I stuck to my shopping list for the first time in ages!!
3: I gave loads of clothes I don't wear anymore (and didn't sell on Ebay!) to a charity shop. Which felt nice.
Time for a low-sugar hot chocolate and some writing before bed!2019 Aim: Save £10,000

Morning!
Very sleepy this morning, flatmate came in with a VERY loud houseguest (she started shouting out his name upon entering the flat) at 2am, took me a while to get back to sleep
So plan for today is :haircut (discount voucher, already paid for), nap, get some writing and songlearning done, then I'm off to a cabaret show for free tonight. I love free stuff!!2019 Aim: Save £10,000

Really scared. Haven't had my confirmation email about being paid tomorrow (ahhh, the joys of being freelance) and now I'm panicking like mad because I only have £20 left of my overdraft and I might have to use my credit card or borrow money from a friend (who has kindly already offered) to pay for my medical if my wages don't come through on time.
I'm so annoyed that I'm back to living like this, however short-lived it may be.2019 Aim: Save £10,000

Fingers crossed that you get the email late and the money on time! It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

The money arrived!!! :j:j
Which meant two things:
1) I didn't have to borrow money from my friend or stick the medical on my CC
2) I finally had my night out!! Shoreditch is not very DFW-friendly, but I've been looking forward to a night out for weeks and weeks and had a blast. Ended with an unexpected smooch with a friend who I used to have a bit of a crush on. Very nice
Rehearsals start tomorrow, so my contract and scripts have all been printed out and look pretty in their folder. Currently deciding what to wear. First impressions and all that.
I can't believe it's finally happening!!!
Anyway, to quote Ian Drury, reasons to be cheerful: 1,2,3...
1: Got a £20 tip from the mum at the birthday party I did today :j
2: I think I'm getting over The Actor. I still feel sad about it, but not in the way that makes me want to cry or throw up anymore. And that's progress, right?
3: If I'm very careful and sensible, I might just about be debt-free by this time next year.
That last thought is so overwhelming that every time I think about it I want to cry.2019 Aim: Save £10,000

Aaaaaand first day of rehearsals is done!!
Very tired, and not entirely sure if all the dancing has sunk in, it's been a while since I last forced my brain and body to work in sync like that!! But everybody's lovely, and I must come across as nervous or something, because despite the fact I'm one of the older cast members, a few people seem to have taken me under their wing. Snug in the armpits of more experienced professionals :A
Anyhoo, I'm off to bed with a book. Absolutely shattered!!2019 Aim: Save £10,000

So glad that the first day of rehersals went well!
I on the other hand worked, abused some customers ran in to someone I knew years ago when I was TA, and now feel slightly stuck in a rut. I really do need to decide what I'm doing long term, but am so torn about staying here or moving back to my parents! It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Well, I'm sure the customers deserved the abuse
Do you mean Territorial Army or Teaching Assistant? Too many acronyms! And it's so hard to know what to do when you feel like you're not making enough progress. I think maybe the answer will present itself and you'll just know what to do.
Onto singing today, which was great because that is my comfort zone. Unfortunately all the new stuff I learned pushed out all the stuff from yesterday. Feeling the pressure a bit. I guess maybe other people are making mistakes too, but I'm worried about annoying people with my 'Oh, she's getting it wrong again' thing...
Gonna get up early tomorrow to figure out exactly what I know and what I can't remember, and try and get it sorted first thing tomorrow. But for tonight, pizza and chocolate has been eaten, I'm in my PJ's and I'm going to head to bed with my book to unwind. And I need an early night because I think I'm coming down with something  not good!2019 Aim: Save £10,000

Def not a teaching assistant, I dislike children more than I do customers, lol.
Am sure you're not doing as badly as you think you are, new stuff always takes time to get used to. Hope you're not coming down with anything, the early night should help. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
