    IDIDITIDIDITIDIDITIDIDIT!!!!!!

    I AM DEBT FREE!!

I got my first credit card the week I turned 18 and since then I've struggled with debts spiralling. At one point I had over £15k in debt with absolutely nothing to show for it.

At the beginning of this year I decided that enough was enough, I still had £11k on credit cards and a personal loan and I was sick of it hanging over my head.

It's been a tough year, but now I have tears in my eyes and I know it was worth it.

    Oooo, shiny new badge!! :j

I've kept one credit card account for big purchases and emergencies, and they've just informed me they've increased my credit limit. I thought they weren't meant to do that automatically anymore....

And I'm done with work for the year :j the bf gets here tomorrow night, then it's friends and family time, and a week today the haulage company gets here to ship my stuff to Ireland!!!

I've only packed half my stuff so tomorrow is going to be pretty busy!! I have someone collecting my computer because I've sold it, and anything that isn't coming with me is going straight up on Freecycle. Then I head to pick up the hire car and pick up the boy from the airport :T considering we managed 7 months apart, a week is proving so tough. I guess we're so close to being together properly that I'm struggling to think of anything else.

Oh, and he's started asking me about what kind of jewellery I like. Must not get too far ahead of myself...

    I am in Germany!

The move went smoothly to Ireland, had a lovely Christmas and New Year and before we knew it two weeks had flown by and we had to pack up the house and move to Germany!

Anyway, we got here Saturday and I've got 12 hours of work a week lined up so far (nannying). I've also posted on a local English-community website for babysitting work. At the moment I only have work Tuesday to Thursday, but hopefully one of the other mums in the area needs some nannying cover too, should find out about that next week.

I'm trying to figure out whether it's worth trying to set up as a party entertainer while I'm here. I'm not sure what the market is here, and whether it would be worth the initial outlay to set up.

I'm also looking at the possibility of doing some work online - admin and data entry-type stuff - but it seems I'd be competing with people willing to work for $5USD an hour.

Anyway, I need to remember that this is my first week here, and not everything needs to be done today :p

Welcome to the next exciting chapter. Hope you're still enjoying Germany and things are getting organised.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
