At least I'm not the only one, Scuba
I think I might finally be kicking this bug, it doesn't hurt at all to swallow and I'm beginning to get my voice back :j:j:j
Plans for today include popping a few things on eBay, blitzing the flat and having a long bath with a face pack and a book!!
I've been paid some of my September wages so paid off half of September's rent (luckily I live with a friend who is VERY relaxed about when rent is paid), and I put some over to my ex's mum, only £50 but at least she knows I'm trying.
And *!!!!!!*! I'm back in my over draft  Still veering from "it'll be fine" to "ARGH!!!!!!!!" but if everyone's right and I'm entitled to my tax rebate everything will be set straight next month. Fingers crossed!2019 Aim: Save £10,000

It has been a week since my last confession...
Actually, not much to confess, I've been quite thrifty :j
Need to go shopping tomorrow, first time since last Friday so my budgeting is working slightly better than I'd hoped on the food front.
I've picked up a new occasional job selling karaoke machines so I'm now doing that every weekend day that I don't have a party, and I can invoice for that fortnightly along with my parties. Slowly getting back to 'normal' financial circumstances which feels nicer.
Still don't have a start date for the pre-rehearsal work in the states. Going to chase that up tomorrow.
Oh, and the boyfriend told me he loved mewe had a long chat on Wednesday about what happens next year, with us being on different ships, and we agreed we're in this for the long haul and that we'll try to make it work. I want to marry him, haven't told him that obviously, but I've never wanted a relationship so badly. He makes me feel safe, silly, happy and beautiful.
Anyway, enough of that slush. Got a £20 tip from my party yesterday. I'm going to buy some new trousers because the zip broke on mine, and I'm also going to buy and zip and see if I can fix the old ones. I have a sewing machine that I don't use nearly enough. I've also got some clothes I can't sell and two days off this week, time to get crafty2019 Aim: Save £10,000

I'll resist the urge to use the puking smiley.
Good news about the karaoke machine job and even better news that the budget is working. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Cruise company has told me I won't be needed until the new year. They only told me this because I chased it up on Monday. No idea what to think now, just going to earn as much money as possible for the rest of the year and take it from there...2019 Aim: Save £10,000

So not much has happened since last week. Apart from my holiday on the ship that my boyfriend works on is confirmed!! I get to spend Christmas and new year with him in places that are warm :j
I'm working every day at the moment and turning down every social engagement that involves money, which is SO HARD.
Trying hard on the budgeting trail, though. My main treat has been a £9 dance class every Wednesday, but that's finished for now. I'm doing a 'big' shop every other week and just topping that up, so I'm spending about £30 a fortnight, which is pretty goodlots of batch cooking and porridge! All this healthy food has helped me shift an extra 4lb as well...
I get to complete and send my tax return tomorrow, fingers crossed it does what I hope and I get a big fat rebate!
Watching Children In Need tonight, then I'll head to bed with The Hunger Games. Started reason it this morning and I love it already!!
Might just buy some chocolate from the shop first...:)2019 Aim: Save £10,000

Evening!
Two invoices got paid today so for a brief moment I had a 'c' next to my bank balance :j then I paid most of the rent that I owe and the 'd' returned pretty sharpish... almost back up to date with everything though which feels good.
My weekly shop was £12.58, and included all my toiletries and a Simpson's advent calender for the bf. Might need to buy a few ingredients for making mince pies later in the week, never tried them before so going to do a couple of trial runs before Christmas time. Never made pastry, hope it's not as difficult as it seems
Got another email from th cruise company. Rehearsals have been 100% confirmed to start 18th Feb, but they still don't know when they'll need me to start working on the new shows. Hope they tell me soon so I can rearrange my flights to my dad and stepmum's!
Nothing else to report, just working working working!2019 Aim: Save £10,000

Thanks scuba,
Got another 2 payments ftom Top Cashback that should be in tomorrow so treated myself to a little fan heater, only £11 but had pretty good reviews and should be enough for my little roomalso really tempted to buy a wedding plsnner course that's on Groupon atm, not for my own wedding I hasten to add!
