Top Cashback arrived this morning. I've got another payment that's ready to claim, might wait til it builds up a bit, it's only for £14.43.

So far today I've managed to muster enough energy for a workout :j still have to clean, make my shopping list and go shopping. I've got a friend coming over for dinner tomorrow and we've decided to make pizzas. I'm also going to attempt to make coconut fudge. Fingers crossed!

It's a fast day today, starting to get hungry now... :EasterBun hehe!

Got through fast day hehe :j today has been lovely, if a tad expensive! Went out for lunch with my aunty and little cousin (only 22 months old, speaking in full sentences and can now ride a scooter ), cost just over £20 and it hasn't come out of my bank account yet. Was lovely having a catch up though :)

Made my PAD (my overdraft APR is less than my most expensive CC) so I am now exactly £100 overdrawn. Not ideal. But I'm working tomorrow and Sunday and hopefully that money will come next week to offset that. Just need to keep being super thrifty (today aside!) til I can claim my tax rebate. Which won't be easy because I have a friend coming up on Thursday for the weekend, and the bf coming up on Friday for a week. Why can't things be easy and why aren't I rich yet? :rotfl:

Did my workout today, I was battling an old injury last week and working loads so I didn't do much, but everything is full steam ahead on that again!! And I had a friend over for dinner - homemade pizzas :D they were SO good, and cost about £3 to make for the both of us. Bought a small antipasti board and some cheapie mozzarella, and the rest of the ingredients I already had in. And she bought the ice cream! Fudge didn't set properly though, so tomorrow I shall be baking a cake and using the partially-set fudge as icing. Waste not, want not!

Plans for tomorrow are getting up at 6am :(, class cover for my old kids' company, workout, washing, budget for the next couple of weeks, baking...

Right! Off to bed for me today, I think.

    Night x

    Morning!

So I've realised I have exactly 18 months to my 30th birthday.

18 months to become debt-free. Which means I need to create some plans. One for if I'm constantly on ships, and one for if I'm not.

This is the debt I have at present, in the order I'm going to pay them off:

    Overdraft - 125 19.9%
    Loan from ex's mum - 5300 0%
    HSBC CC - 2409.52 23.9%
    MBNA - 2867.15 19.9%
    Barclaycard - 1078.45 0% agreement

The loan from my ex's mum was for drama school, she puts no pressure on me to repay but she trusts me, and I still get on with her really well so that's my number one priority.

I'm pretty sure I'm due a tax rebate of nearly £2000 next month, but I'm not relying on that (never know what HMRC might do :rotfl:).

When I'm in London my spending averages out at £1000 a month so to pay off a grand a month I need to to earn £2k after tax. I'd have to work my behind off, but I can do it.

When I'm out of London and on a ship (eventually), my outgoings will reduce to about £500 a month and I'll have a set wage of $854 (about £535 at present) a week.

My iPod and Mac are both slowly dying after years of valiant service but I need to buy those when I debt-free.

I know all this, I just needed to write it down to get it out of my head for a while :p

    I CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the reminder of how old I'm getting too though, cowbag :p

    Less of the old please!

So I've just been violently ill, my belly is making some VERY strange noises and is so bloated my trousers are really uncomfy. But I don't feel ill in the sense I'm coming down with something. Hope I feel better soon, got my friend arriving today and the bf tomorrow

    You started it. ;)

Hope it's just something you ate disagreeing with you temporarily, it's horrid feeling bloated and uncomfortable for no apparent reason. Have fun with your friend and bf.

    Morning!

Felt fine for the rest of the day, very odd! Anyway, managed to meet my friend, get my mystery shop done (new restaurant), and headed home for cake and films :p

Off to the V&A today, then the bf gets here this evening and we're heading to Chinatown because my friend hasn't been there for years and is desperate to go!

Might not check in for a while, but I'll post any news on the job (if I get any).

    xx

Glad you felt better, quickly. Have a great time with the bf and friend.

Fingers crossed that you get good news about the job soon!
