Justine King, classic.
I bet they all had a good laugh when they read that.
OP, if you're going to go to the top the very least you can do is get the Chief Exec's name right.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
you can tell if the milk has gone bad by sniffing it. Either way, food poising is more of a trading standards/head office issue. You should take it up with them the store is not the right place to do that.
Are you more concerned about yuor health or the few pennies you spent on the milk anyway?0 -
Dear money saving expert team,
i started a thread about 5-6 wks ago about sainsburys but when i look for it it says i never made a thread. could you please help me locate it.
This is my last reply i was hoping to post in my original thread. sainsburys is fobbing customers off.
Dear Rob McDonald,
Thank you for your email.
I'm afraid that this matter has not been brought to a close.
My friend visited the store in question very recently and noticed that the humous basic range was the only type of humous that had the worrying division in colour previously mentioned.
I have been extremely patient with you and very polite.
I even took the time to discuss the situation with a lady from your store.
She disagreed that there was a division in colour in the humous which caused me food poisoning even though it is 100% clear in the camera footage that there is a division in colour.
In view of this, I have no alternative but to seek legal advice now.
Are you enterning into any more correspondence with me?
I know I am in the right as I have never seen humous with this difference in colour.
You yourselves seem confused as to what is a normal colour; Mr King thought the difference in humous colour was dangerous and another in sainsburys said it is perfectly normal.
I have kept all the emails and will be seeking legal advice on this matter. I will ask someone for a camera memory stick so I can upload the footage to social media sites so people can make there own decision about your food.
I should remind you that food poisoning is not a subject to be taken lightly.
Yours sincerely
mr richards

Seriously, you are on to a loser with this. You will *never* be able to prove it was the houmous that caused the illness you say you had. Give up and move on with your life, focus on positive things instead of getting bogged down in this negativity.0 -
If the basic humous is the only one with the colour difference and it's been observed by yourself and your friend on more than one ocassion, and it applies to more than one pot of humous (why do I get the impression you've looked at a LOT of humous in Sainsbury's...) you have to ask why there don't appear to be any other cases of people telling Sainsbury's about this, because if there were I'm sure they'd have pulled it all off the shelves by now. It sounds like what you had was a one-off, and probably caused by something else.
Rob McDonald must have been banging his head off his desk when he read your reply. If you know you are right....prove it. As it stands Sainsbury's have done everything they can, including now waiting for it to go out of date at room temperature to see what effect it has. Saying you are right doesn't mean anything unless you can back it up with evidence.
They've investigated and so far found nothing. What more do you want them to do? I'm sure if they suspected for a second that there was anything wrong with it they'd have those shelves cleared as soon as they could.0 -
Purplecloud, move on, this is going nowhere. You've had a reply, you can't really be expecting anything else ?
And as for footage of pots of Houmous on Facebook................ you need to get out more.0 -

Your post is in this thread but to be honest as others have said you are on a cloud of some sort...Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -
Purplecloud did have their own thread it was full of emails back and forth with Sainsburys and very long winded, it must have been removed.0
-
Life is too short to be reeling off long emails about cheap pots of Houmous. You would need samples of the offending gloop and samples of your err ...'doings' so that environmental health could test both and prove a link, until you can provide these nothing will be done. Sainsburys have been very helpful, but seriously you need to move on and forget about this crusade as you will never win.0
