I can' be the only person who sniffs milk before using ? How can you drink milk thats off without noticing ? Why would you bother asking for a refund ? Would you not just pour it down the sink and say "oh well" ?0

As sainsburys staff said they were fine and had just been checked i got 6 pints of milk. other shoppers were also getting the milk.
got home, used some milk and my four children, myself and husband vomited. we have not slept all night.
went to sainsburys and they say "no. we will not refund you for your remining milks." they even say that their fridges are computer-linked so never ever go wrong.
the food poisoning was their fault as i only buy at sainsburys (no longer though) and we only ate sainsburys food yesterday
how can i get my money back. for remaingin milks? they have stunned me.
As others have said I find it odd that neither you, your husband or your children thought the milk was off while you drank it.
And when you returned to Sainsburys you should have demanded compensation, I would suggest at least a million for each of you for the inconvenience.0 -
42 people died in little wuthering last friday
a troll murdered them with an empty plastic milk bottle
please pass this message on for the sake of the children

Maybe a "board guide" could tell me exactly why my reply was deleted?

whether the OP is legit or not
bear in mind contamination of food happens
so food poisoning doesnt have to be by food going off0 -

Hah.. it seems to be the other thread0 -
Under normal circumstances they would refund you for any unwanted products. In this case it would be admitting liability that their product made you all violently sick, leaving them open to legal action, this they will not do.
It is a bit of a tall tale though, it's easy to spot turned milk, and very unlikely that every body would drink it at the same time without noticing.0 -
Do they really refund for any unwanted items? If I bought a Newspaper today could I get my money back on Monday for instance?
If it works you could just buy one paper and keep going back for the next edition...
