I have to agree with the others, I highly doubt it was the milk that caused this.

Have you ever seen/tasted off milk before, I can guarantee that at least one out of the six of you would have noticed but more realistically all of you would have known. Also it takes longer than 24 hours for milk to turn and the more milk in the container the longer it takes.

I've seen a four pint bottle left out for three days by builders and they all still drank it and said it was just starting to turn but didn't taste too bad and they didn't get ill. A six pinter would take even longer to turn.

If you are genuinely concerned you need to get to the docs ASAP so they can get you all tested for food poisoning, after all if what you say is true others will be ill and there will be a local outbreak and you'll all have to stay off from work/school for a quarantine period depending on the type of food poisoning.

It's more likely that something you've all eaten was not cooked properly and you're all just having a slight reaction and will be fine by tomorrow.

Or you've all picked up a bug but this is less likely if all of you got symptoms at the same time, they generally spread through families from person to person with the weakest immune systems getting hit first and spreading from there.

I have known it to happen this fast although it was down to a customer that also said they were rendered unconscious instantly from drinking milk 1 day after its display until date (note display until date, the use by date was 6 days after and further down the bottle they must have missed that bit) and then vomited constantly for 24hrs "before gathering the strength to come back and return the milk" (which was still fine)

Doesn't add up, Sainsbury's WILL give you a refund on the milk with a receipt, or exchange it for you.

Milk on the turn won't give you food poisoning - ever heard of yogurt?

If it were that off you would have known as soon as you drank it, it would be thick and lumpy and you would have spat it out immediately.

Suggest you look at everything else you fed your family and consider whether you have been anywhere they could have been exposed to a tummy bug.

you only need to post a problem once to get help. The advice won't change, no matter how many times you post a query

Agree with the others but just wanted to ask.......am I the only one who thinks off milk smells like baby vomit (ie a young baby who is fed formula milk)?
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride
