We only have a Wii but Zumba is good on it but repetetive, it seems so fast but maybe it's just that I am very slow - my legs go everywhere!

The Michael Jackson dance game is my favourite, the kids aren't interested but I love it.

I think the kinect is miles better than the wii for more active things, I have Your Shape, Child of Eden and a few other 'active' games, they're all great fun. Wii fit was good but the kinect is so much more responsive and better at tracking movement.

    Without doubt.

We started off on the Kinect but the other dance game we have was for the Wii so we moved to that.

Noticed a huge difference in 'playability', the Kinect beat the Wii hands down.

First time I'd actually ever compared the two.

don't temp me jay. 2 months ago I was changing phones and had £18 credit left and half an hour to use it up so I entered a daily mail text comp at £2 a pop. The other week a very nice delivery man came to the door with a brand new xbox with kinect and a load of games - I won! It's sitting here ready to sell as I want to get dd a new bike but it's sooo tempting to keep it.

I just use the Wii for Netflix now, we've managed to avoid Sky TV so Netflix is perfect. You have to pay the X-box monthly fee to use it for Netflix, so the wii has come into it's own.

The Wii was great for some earlier games mind, I really loved Elidees. :o:rotfl:

Wow, well done on your win. :j:j:j

I won my X-box and Kinect too, last year. I was going to sell it too but OH wanted to keep it. We love it but in your shoes I'd have sold it. A new bike is far more important than what is effectively a toy. :A

I have Zumba for the Wii and it's surprisingly knackering!
  • Not if you're so bored by it you never do it again ;)
Best find exercise you enjoy and more likely to do again.

taking how boring it may or may not be out of the equation

it is still the best thing for fat loss

the more muscle you have the more cals you burn at rest

you burn calories during and for hours after weight training, you may not burn as many cals during the weights as you do during cardio but after is as important as during

btw HIIT is the best cardio for fat loss ;)

You burn extra calories for 12-24 hours after doing anything that raises your metabolic rate, it seems to be proportionate, so dance or aerobics will have more effect than weight training in the short term.

I'm with you on muscle burning more calories in the long term.

It is, but most of us just fit in what we can and any movement is better than none.

How much has your fat/muscle ratio changed?
