I don't have heavy periods any more. But I don't have to change the peeweez more than I did the disposable ones. I do as I've always done and if I'm worried that I'll be away from a loo for a while, I use a little loo roll too for extra 'protection'. :o Okay, that's the most you're getting out of me. There are men folk who read this board! :rotfl:

    without repeating...

    :rotfl: lol! thanks for that.
I guess the only way to find out is to trial it myself, but I'll be sure to do that on days when I'm home and feeling "safe"

I hope nobody minds me posting this but I advise on cloth nappies for Lollipop and also sell cloth pads and Mooncups. Our pads are made from soft fleece with absortbent terry inside and we also do some which have a discreet little bag which you can pop the used on into to take it home.

I'm not a pad fan myself but I love my Mooncup and would never go back to tampons. If anyone wants info or advice, please PM me and I'll be happy to help.

    Hi

I wanted to write this to make women aware of some options for moneysaving you might not of thought of, its also eco-friendly :T

I have a delivery of re-usable sanitary protection arriving soon and think its a great way of saving money and the environment plus makes that time of the month a little bit more fun.

I paid £25 and have a good little set of pads to get along with and a custom made bag to keep them in too, the order has come from america and the designs I have coming are so cute and funky.

You rinse them out and wash with soap basically, dry out and then re-use and they should last years especially if seams go in which case I will stitch repair. They are made of cotton so fully breathable and can stop itchiness and the like and are supposed to be very comfortable to wear. They fix with presstuds underneath and are so very similar to the wings we are so familiar with. Afterwards they fold up on themselves and can be carried until cleaned.

All together I believe it will save money and the amount of waste I send to landfill and I wouldnt hesitate to encourage others to try the same.

There are many forms of pad whether you need ones for little leaks or just a pantyliner from time to time. So please have a look and see what you think. Ive used hagrag to get mine but there are plenty of options.

For those using tampons instead many people have converted to a moon cup. Ive heard great reviews though personally not my thing ;)

Wee its all according to preference I suppose but I really do not fancy the idea of washing out ladies items!

Just treat them like reusable nappies, disposibles were unheard of before WW2. Then when they first came along they were expensive and bulky.

    I like my peeweez :D .
