Yaaaay I remembered how to do it :)

Oooooo scottish? :p Im actually more of an accent girl, My DH is Welsh and I have to say im totally in love with his accent, its no-where near as pronounced as it was as he's lived in England for 15 years now, but when he gets a cob on or we go to visit his parents it comes out in force!

I will admit that sometimes I pick a fight just to hear the welsh tones come out as hes shouting :shhh: :rotfl:

Id just go to the bank and ask for coin bags and count them up, and then take them in with the CC bill to pay. My barclays will accept as many bags of coins as you can carry to pay off a bill if they are bagged up correctly.

Hahaha I would provoke too, I am also a sucker for accents. My OH is a geordie and has a lovely soft accent :) except when drunk or with his mates when it is very strong geordie, I love BOTH. All accents are great, so nice to have a rich and diverse language.

Thanks :j! I really feel that this challenge will help keep me on track and will be a great place to update any payments.

I'm aiming to clear the full amount £5,380! I dont get paid until the last day of the month so won't have any payments to update until then. Trying not to spend any money thats in my account so i can pay any thats left over at pay day to my Credit Card.

I've never felt so determined to clear all my debt, so thank you everyone as you've given me so much inspiration :T

Yaaaay welcome to the team, I am doing the same and just trying to spend less, make more so that it all goes towards the debt :T

I feel really deflated! Gave my spreadsheet a bit of an overall last night, with statements coming out left right and centre, plus added the overpayment that I made to my cc to cover what I spent on food this week, and I've slipped back even further! So I have a new total, although I'm still aiming to hit my target of £5210.12 by xmas, it's just a bit annoying that I keep going backwards!

    #304 £1,293.51/£5210.12 (24.83%)

Don't feel down choclover, I'm pretty sure i have managed to increase my debt too since starting this challenge but I have also reduced lots and slashed my interest rates so its a bit of a rollercoaster really. just focus on what you HAVE achieved and learn from ur slip ups :)

And FALLEN I am very jealous that you are going to backstreet boys and NKOTB, I LOVED them when I was growing up :-) My friends are also going but I can't afford tickets :(
    Don't turn a slip up into a give up:D

Another £1 paid to the c/c, I've managed to pay £1 everyday this month now :) If I can work my finances out properly, then I'm hoping to break the £3k paid mark on payday, that'll be amazing if I can do that :D

Ahh ty, I dont mind my own pain, but Miss Lily really doesnt understand why it hurts :( Even the ice lollies were impossible for her to swallow as she couldnt open her mouth wide enough, I ended up cutting it off the stick, mashing it up in a bowl and giving her a spoon to eat it with :(

Maybe time for a choc ice for her :o I know most people frown on chucking loads of icecream and sweets into kids, but atm I dont really care, more interested in soothing her throat and getting any type of food and drink into her that what shes actually eating

ooh it's only £300 that's easily doable. I was going to aim for about £500 towards debt this payday. That'll be £90 to dca and my c/c paid off :D will be so much happier when I'm under the £2k to pay mark though, maybe I'll aim for that this month. Now to start fleabaying again so I can clear it quicker ;)

Hope Miss Lilly feels better soon, with kids that are poorly as long as they're eating something then that's better than nothing :) don't feel guilty.

No no you are absolutely right to give Lily an ice cream...in fact it is usually PRESCRIBED by the drs in my hospital-anything to hydrate the poor little one! See, you are bang up to date with evidence-based practise! The worst bit is when we see a poorly little one with pain and you say 'Did you give them any paracetamol and the parent says No cos little one doesn't have a fever. Nurses have to wait for Drs orders before giving any meds in this country. 4 hrs later, poor howling patient still waiting to be seen by dr, who the finally comes in - and prescribes Paracetamol. Whatever gives comfort to the little ones-JUST GIVE IT! OK I'll hop down from my soapbox now!
My mother flew in last night, so the children are knee-deep in Cadburys chocolate and Hula Hoop crisps! Kid heaven!:j
