JM hope DD is feeling better :)

Kerri how did the craft fair go?

Welcome back to some of you :)

Had a lovely day today, went to the zoo with Mr S and his friend + gf, then chinese for dinner and watched Madagascar 2. Mr S is in bed now feeling sorry for himself as he now has a dodgy tummy!

Now, is it me or this a bit odd/rude? We were talking about getting into town for dinner so Mr S said he would call a taxi, thinking we were all having a drink so not driving. The friends GF proceeded to have a lemonade with dinner, and they have just driven home. Surely if you knew you weren't going to have a drink, you would offer to drive? Rather than let us pay for a taxi? It's not particularly major, but when she barely talks to the point of being rude, it's even more frustrating!

It's very quiet on here today, hope you are all off having a nice weekend :)

That's very strange. If it were me then i would definitely have offered to drive. Sounds a strange girl anyway if she did this and she also doesn't really speak much; especially as you'd sent most of the day all together by the sounds of it. Have you met her before, or was this first time? Do they live far away, so it maybe wasn't planned that they were going to go home tonight?

Not been making many payments this month as i have had a bit of a splurge on myself; sorry.

This is about the 6 or 7th time, if not more that we have met her. It's all very odd. I don't think they were planning on staying. It's not even that big a deal really, just really odd and very much a waste of two taxi fares (MSE head is on!).

Don't be sorry for not making payments!

I'm now panicking after my mini splurges this month, I'll have enough to cover my outgoings but not pay as much as I wanted off my debt :( Stupid letting agent, deposit, blah blah.

    Hiya
Well I've got the first week of my new job under my belt and a tough start it was too. It takes me ages to settle into a new place-boo hoo woe is me etc etc. take no notice-I just like to moan. Well done to SAVINGFORARAINYDAY and MISSINFORMATION who sound enthusiastic about their chosen careers. :j
My son won a big running competition this week. I just look on awe, to think that 2 big heffalumps like his father and I managed to produce someone who runs like a cheetah! That was absolutely the highlight of my week!

Yes, sounds very odd (and unfriendly) to me. Is she v tidy about her car or maybe pregnant? I was a bit odd when I was pregnant :rotfl:

Psycho - Maybe she had a coupon for the taxi service :rotfl: I'll be honest, I don't do 'couple' outings (or parties for that matter) IRL im very shy and a bit anti-social, I find it difficult to talk to people I dont know in a social way. DH would prob have said 'oh Jakes-mum will drive us, dont bother with the taxi' but I wouldnt have felt comfortable asserting myself with his mates and talking them out of what they wanted to do.

If she is uncomfortable in social situations she may also have decided you might not like her that much which is why you ordered 2 taxis? cant say if im anywhere near but sometimes it does come down to a bit of miss reading the situation on both sides.

The other question is, with 4 of you, why didnt you share a taxi? 3 in the back 1 in the front :naughty: MSE MSE MSE :rotfl:

    Gordon Bennett,

10 pages to catch up! Well its been about a week and I really have fallen off the wagon and I think I see where so back to normal for Monday for payday!

Little one has had this stomach bug thats going round so ended buying him a few things to cheer him up. However when I totted it all felt so guilty because of how much I have spent! Out of the £1,751.19 payments I made I only paid off £721.30! Oh dear! There is no justifying it at all however having been good for 5 months I was bound to a wobble at some point!

Anyway next week looks like its going to be a busy already so going to jump ahead for Monday morning and pop my totals on now so makes life a bit easier.

No 149 total paid off £7,564.18. Total paid off 53.05%

Even more annoyed with myself. Anyway onwards and upwards!

jemma see next page for another update

  • Hi all.

So, now my number of debts are reducing as well as the balance owed, I've realised that there was something wrong with my spreadsheet...

Turns out it was including the positive balance of my current account in my total calculation, and always has done!

I've retrospectively worked out what my original starting amount and paid off amount is, so completely new figures below please :)

    InsertWittyName #055 | £7,028.18/£16,570.76 (42.4%)

Had a good month this month with lots of extra payments made, and the next few months looks like it will be the same! :)
    I was a DFW, now I'm a MFW :T
