Well I think your all :A and everyone deserves a big christmassy :kisses3: :D

But im still hanging on to my number in a vice like grip :rotfl: (I dont like change, can you tell :rotfl:)

Oooo Kerri, it did make me growl, havent seen a single 'what to buy' thread in the last 2 years that hasnt had someone post that sentence. Probably doesnt help that Miss Lily has been sick twice today and insisted on sleeping on me all day, im full of head cold as well, but I did think 'ive had a bloomin carp year all things considering and you havent got a bloomin clue who I am or what life has decided to throw at me, so bog off with your pretentious, snide comment' (did manage to refrain from saying it though :D)

Havent been back to the thread since as it really took the fun out of it :( it really was just supposed to be a bit of a giggle (and hopefully some more and more rediculous ideas of what he could have bought me)

Spag bol, of course you're bonkers - I think we all are on this thread aren't we? :D

Kerri, I have tried a spending diary but tbh I only tend to spend once a week on my shopping (really need to get this back on track!) and the occasional birthday pressie/celebration. I've cut back on clothes this year (though not as much as I'd like to have done) and we don't go out much (through choice rather than due to money) We have treated ourselves a bit too much this year though with weekends away and have splurged a bit on Xmas (despite saying we wouldn't)

Fresh start for me in the New Year :D
  • Hi Spag,
I don't mind what you want to do about the numbers but it might be easier for you to keep them allocated to the same people and just add newbies on the end. This is what the £2 savers club and the sealed pot club do as far as I know.
Fleabay sale means I have £215 in my safety pot :j

Oh and J-M I hope you can decide on something really nice for yourself you deserve it

I've just had a peek at the thread, the offensive Miss H hasn't said anymore and nobody has 'liked' the comment so there's no support. There are some pressie suggestions you may want to see ;). I think maybe your hubby is saying no to everything to try and steer you away from guessing what he's already got you.

Sometimes humour and giggles just get lost in the written word, sad, but a fact.:(

Oops it's not 'not "liked", it's not 'thanked'. Get me, I'm getting all my social networking sites mixed up :rotfl:

Look at you getting all technical and 'with it' :D:rotfl::D. (I tried to be 'with it' but lost my way and somehow ended up 'past it' instead :rotfl:)

I shall go back and have a peek as it was started just to cheer myself up, Miss Lily has just been sick again bless her, so looks like im in for a bad night, shes managed a whole rich tea biscuit for her tea and is now watching bubble guppies but I can see the eyes drooping just a little bit.

Lol the problem is that everything on my short list is not giftworthy in the eyes of DH, not even hair straightners  because having a hair cut isnt a luxury so neither is anything to keep it looking nice :rotfl:.

    My list comprised of:

A new electric knife as mine broke
Hair Straightners as only have a carp cheap pair from argos that make my hair greasy
    Some clothes
Some new saucepans (Ok I knew I wouldnt get away with this one!)
Some new small ceramic dishes as all mine are cracked now
A musical christmas scene to go with my collection
    A terramundi money box
    Some new knickers :rotfl:

According to DH all of the above are items for he house and thus are not acceptable for a husband to buy his wife for christmas!

OMG totally irrelevant but had to get this off my chest....my children are being so annoying at the moment!! I hate end-of-term-itis but glad it always happens so I know they go back to being nice when they aren't so tired!! I always forget and wonder why they are being so awful then remember they always act up in the last week of term.

    Arrgghh!! :eek::mad::eek::mad:
