    Hi, long term lurker here......

I'd really like to join this challenge, but, alas, my debt is still too big for me to have it all paid off by the end of 2012. However, I would so love to be rid of my Next account and half of my loan by the end of this year. It's a huge challenge for me, but would be achievable if I really focused my mind on it. Do you think it would be possible for me to join you.....?

What do you need from me to get the ball rolling!?! My overall total is £21,175.54. But I would like to pay off £6534.22 by christmas.

Many thanks in advance and I'm really excited about joining you all.

    Welcome Avogirly:T

Have a mooch around the first few posts for an idea of the amounts people are setting and the challenges and sub challenges that people are doing- there are lots of handy hints there. Join in and chat as psychopathbubble says too :)

I see you are running at Hylands, that's not far from me. Good luck! :D

Come join in! :D I was running at the gym, but haven't been for weeks now as I've lost all my mojo. Am hoping to run it but we will see!

If you want an achievable target... maybe work out how much you can realistically pay off, then add a bit more to give yourself a bit of work :) (quidc0, fleabay, carboots etc)

    Hello Avogirly

You can set your target where ever you feel comfortable, we dont insist on actually 'paying off by xmas' here as for some it really isnt feasable without selling your home/car/body (delete as appropriate :D) not that id get much for my body . . doubt even medical science would want it :rotfl:

Tell us all your payment/oh/children gossip as we are a nosey bunch :D You'll regularly see rants about my DH and *the game*, oh and of course post any money saving ideas like *coughs* kerri's home made knickers ;)

But most of all enjoy paying your creditors, we dont care if its a £1 or £1000, we'll still celebrate every payment with you :D

Psycho I think that shows us something about the inside of your head not ours :p I still need to make a gusset for those knickers actually. But todays task is to make a nice little handbag and a neck scarf :) I've given up trying to knit, I keep doing my ribbing the wrong way round grr.

I just need to find some cheap size 10, 12, 14 knickers so I can make patterns from them :p then I can sell them at the craft fair :D

I'm actually going to run a half marathon in September, so I may take you up on that offer!

In other, money saving news, I have paid £1 off my Next account and also had a refund to my bank account of £79.95 for a jacket I bought but was later told it was out of stock.
