Ooh Kerfuffle I should SOOOO join you on that one :) all my bills including veg boxes are on direct debits. The only thing I'd be worried about would be work expenses, as I can't really not spend on those for 7 days....however, if I exclude them then I think I have a lot to work with :D

I had a massive scare this afternoon, I couldn't work out where £500 had disappeared to and I didn't have enough in my hsb a/c to cover my rent eep! Turned out I'd paid my c/c early afterall and so just needed to transfer from my lloy a/c what I had been saving for the cc. Really relieved as I can't remember ever paying the c/c and I know it's not on d/d oops!

Bought myself some lovely katia triana yarn this afternoon, I'm currently knitting it to make a ruffle scarf. Hoping it'll be a quick-make, money spinner for the craft fairs. They look really lovely, and don't take that much effort to knit whoop whoop.

Off to visit Grandad in hospital now :( I really hate Macmillan hospitals, I know the nurses are lovely, but I hate being reminded of our mortality.

Kerri_dfw - I'll look forward to seeing you over there then. Sometimes it's difficult to post as it's a case of " haven't spent any money again", but it's nice reading other people's FF attempts.

I know what you mean about scaring yourself with bills, one time I managed to pay my TV license twice, I had absolutely no recollection of having paid the bill  and this was a few years ago so it's not like I could blame it on old age. I did manage to get a refund cheque though.

Hope your Grandad is as well as to be expected Kerri <<hugs>> to him.

kerri ive seen those ruffle scarves they are really nice. are they easy to knit then?

kerfuffle ive seen those machines. well if it works for you....... :D

That's the thing Starnac it did work, if it hadn't then I would be 19p better off, there's no way I would fall for that one again, I'm much more savvy now ;)

Well I went into town, didn't open my purse once, deposited the money for the transfer into the bank, and helped myself to a free mint from the basket on the counter :D . I went to a Dollarama store (like a 1.00GBpound shop) and complained because on Tuesday I bought a Kit-Kat and when I got home it wasn't in the bag, nor was is it the car, so I figured the girl hadn't packed it into the bag with the other stuff, anyway came out of the store with a freebie Kit-Kat. Not entirely free as I actually paid for it on Tuesday, but I'm so pleased that I didn't let the issue slide. So no money spent, plus I got a mint and a Kit-Kat :T

    Mission accomplished :)

So easy that I've almost finished one. I've just found the yarn for £1.50 cheaper on fleabay as well, so I think I might buy a few balls and knit them up for the craft fair next weekend.

Thank you :) he was looking a LOT better today than he was on Monday, must be feeling better. He's due to go back home on Monday/Tuesday but with a DNR letter as it's fairer than making him suffer longer than his body wants. He's a ripe old age of 82 and was building houses up until a few years ago.

The missing £500 was really frightening, but I'm glad I spent it on paying off the cc without realising instead of splurging it on random rubbish.

    I want a kitkat now :(

OH and I have just been talking joint bank accounts, eep!

Well I've had a carp few days should' ve seen it coming really :o Car tax, car insurance, service, pre MOT, new £60 tyre and MOT, only had £200 in the car fund which as I'm sure you can imagine didn't make much of a dent  So OD has gone up and some went on CC, but I don't want to show an increase in debt :o so I'm going to list loads on Fleabay at the weekend and spend less in the hope you don't notice!! (this is the first time my debt has gone up since the start of this challenge)

    Re Grandpops, that's good news.

I really wanted a Kit-Kat on Tuesday :(, now I really want it today but I'll have to wait until Hubby gets home so I that I have proof of my achievement.:D

How did the joint bank account discussion go, were you both on the same page or did you have opposing views?

Definately a 4-finger Kit-Kat, Hubby and I share it :D all the others pale into insignificance, why would they even try to change perfection? ;)

Have been a bit busy :)

I've sorted out some debt management thingy. Whereby I'll pay a company £31 a week and they sort all letters/phonecalls etc for me and pay them all, the bloke said it'll take coming up to 3 years to pay off this small amount of debt, but sometimes I get additional work which everything will go to this so I can pay it off sooner. My OH starts nights next month which is an extra £700 ontop of his wages so I'm going to aim to pay all of it off before my daughter's 7th birthday in April and I think that is quite realisitic if I stop spending and putting all extra money towards this.

    I feel loads better now.

Saying that, we are going to Longleat Safari Park tomorrow and that's costing us £80 just to get in.

I've been looking at going back to college, I'm currently a Childminder but not a job I want for the rest of my life just up until my daughter goes to school in around 3 years. Just thinking what I actually want, going to do some distance learning I need to resit my GCSE's and do an A level or an access course and look into doing a degree. Only trouble is, I don't know what I want to do! I'd love to work in a zoo, my all time favourite job - but it's very competitive and at only 10k a year, I suppose al ot of peopel want to work with ainmals so they don't need to offer an attractive salary.

Also been thinking about nursing, but before I commit to a nursing degree I am half tempted to do a distance learning NVQ in Health and Social care and try and get a job as a healthcare assistant. Either that or volunteer in a care home. I have however seen an apprenticeship for a HCA about 5 minues up the road from me at £210 a week. Lasts a year and after the year I have my qualification.

Shame I can't do anything for another 3 years because I want to stay at home with my LO

Oh-Oh, just added up all the spends this month on my cc and it's a staggering £575:eek:! Bit disappointed as it's thrown me back a month and my totals are looking pretty poor:(

Oh well, hopefully back on track next month and NO MORE CC SPENDS (note to self).
