I've refused to get a corporate card as I don't trust myself!:rotfl:Although I know it would help in situations like this.
This ones an AMEX so I can't really use it many placesand it all automatically links to the works expenses system so I really can't use it for anything none work related and in some cases have had to use my own Mastercard because the place didn't accept it.
I wouldn't mind claiming it back but it takes an age so this way its a little easier.HSBC CC - £3000 / £3000
Halifax CC - £1032.77 / £1032.77

My gosh you lot can talk
I'm slowly catching up but have no energy to to do a mega-post like Jemmas sorry!
Hugs to anyone who needs them, well done to those who have paid off some of their debts
I had an amazing time.... busy busy but it was brilliant! Unfortunately Mr S got his wallet stolen on the flight from HK to BKK so had to cancel the joint clarity credit card I'd got us which totally !!!!!!ed up my plans.... cue lots of irate calls to various banks for blocking my cards etc etc. Halifax currently owe me about £100 for phone calls, and just filled in the stupid claims form for personal cash on travel insurance. We overspent, but because we had to use various accounts of mine, I'm still not entirely sure what we spent where! If it was all on the credit card as I'd planned, then it would be so much easier (and we wouldn't have paid about £30 in withdrawal charges!). The best laid plans and all that.
Once the photos are on a laptop, I shall pop a couple of here to show off(washed and fed tigers, and played in the River Kwai with an elephant!).
I shall now continue with my mega-catching up session.

If ou give me 5 minutes, I'll give you the people that I owe money to if you could so kindly complain to them and I'd like a £250 cheque from each of them too please.
Nicola, just a quickie... you said a few posts ago you had sorted a DMP. Who did you go with? A lot of companies charge you a fee, then mess you around with paying the creditors. Just wanted to check you aren't being ripped offIf you are in any doubt, then use Payplan or CCCS please as they are free to use.

Thanks for the welcome-backs, guys! Mega busy at work, sorry I didn't reply sooner.
I think I'm here to stay now! I'm going to have to reassess my debt totals though. The last 6 months have been some of the worst I've ever been through, but the clouds are clearing finally :T I don't think I'll be able to be debt-free by Christmas, but I'm going to give it a DAMN GOOD GO :rotfl:
Jemma... you have no idea how much I identify with the rut you feel like you're in. I'm in almost exactly the same situation. I really need to change something, but can't take too many risks until I don't owe anyone anything. I'd love to start my own business, or try and reignite some of the connections I had back in the City, but it's going to have to wait. Not long now! p.s. I'm adding you on MFP...
Anyway, I'm so glad everyone is still plugging away at their debt. Good to see the enthusiasm is better than ever!
p.s.

I need all the tips I can get. We're doing the Machame ('whisky') route, which did you do? Slightly nervous about it all, did you do much training?0 -

Training? What's that? I didn't do anywhere near enough, but we did the Lemosho trail which is the longer one but you get more time to acclimatise. The worst bit was the final summit... you stop at the bottom for dinner and rest, get up at 11.30pm to start climbing a steep hill covered in scree, in the pitch black and freezing cold. 6 hours later you reach the top, but then have to walk another bit to get to the sign as it's a blind summit. I was aching in every single muscle and was struggling to breath with the lack of oxygen. Even the rest of the group (some of which cycle across norfolk for fun) struggled. But it's definitely an experienceBecame Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16
