Welcome to the 2 new guys, don't worry about getting to 100%, there is no way I am going to get to 100% but it keeps me focused!

I've just been on the phone to the tax office and should get my overpayment back in ten working days :j:j:j

Thinking about PPI, I don't think we ever got it except possibly our first mortgage. This was with Intelligent Finance or something similar, could I find out by phoning them even if I don't have any details like account number etc. or does that just look like I'm being a chancer?

  • I was young and naive when I took out the loan with the PPI. It was in the days of pre-checked tick boxes for PPI (naughty!). They offered me a settlement straight away, no questions asked.

I have payment protection on my mortgage, but its not wth the lender (Intelligent Finance, funnily enough!). Its with the underwriter that the lender uses and cost less than a third of what IF wanted to charge!

Hopefully, I'll get the refund of interest rate hikes from Santander too, which should pretty much wipe out that loan
    Santander Loan [STRIKE]£3003[/STRIKE] £2100
    AA Credit Card [STRIKE]£3148[/STRIKE] £2676
    Natwest OD [STRIKE]£1500[/STRIKE] £1370
    Cahoot OD [STRIKE]£1000 [/STRIKE]£650
    Capital One Card [STRIKE]£641[/STRIKE] £400
    Total [STRIKE](Jan 12)[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£9546 [/STRIKE] £7196 (Now)

    Hello all!

Welcome nicole and phoenix, the more the merrier:). I must warn you though that there are some right ol' fruit loops on here (mentioning no names;)) but they're all harmless and very friendly and supportive.

Still on the countdown to the 1st of June, why does May have to have 31 days?

Used some Amazoon gift cards earned through sbs today to buy some fabric dye - couldn't find anywhere in town that sells it and really want it asap. Got some sunspray-stained white jeans I going to dye a bright colour (have washed the stain in many ways but it won't budge!) Seems there's loads of brightly coloured skinny jeans around this summer but nothing for those of us with tree-trunk legs:p

Not sure if this is really MSE but I've orded two more pairs from my catalogue sale(only £6.50 each), one to replace the stained ones and one more to dye:rotfl:.

Oh, suzitiger, it's hard to reply to everyone, no-one will be offended if you miss anyone out - hello to you too x

    ************ RANT ALERT **************

Pants I try planning my day, spent two hours doing very complex data between December and April then find out my April figures are totally out because I don't have all the data.

Off to swear a lot now! Two hours wasted!

See my MSE of planning fails! I try to do good and it goes wrong!

I'm getting some extra wages tomorrow! I'm a Childminder so the money is not very good, nor is it reliable. But my 3yo mindee's nursery is closed thursday and friday which means I have ihm 6 hours a day instead of three so I get £91 tomorrow instead of £70 which is nice.

I have to pay off, T-mobile £21, council tax £38 (from April) and then 995 from capital one, 450 for my level 3 qualification, 480 to BT, 200 to my dad and 150 to my mum. My mum told me to forget about it, but I want to pay it off so I am doing.

So... The question is, who do I pay off first? I can afford to pay off £75 a week to one debt, start with the highest or lowest?

Council tax is the most urgent, whats the situation on the qualification will it impede any learning.

His missus it just made all the more sense after the above comment!

I would pay off the council tax and t-mob first as priority debts plus you could do it in a week which is all good

I would then pay the cap-1 and qual fees whichever has highest interest first. Mum and dad last because mum has said no rush. Well done :j

Both Capital one and BT are threatening to take me to court for a CCJ. I was thinking, I can afford to pay £70 a week, so perhaps £35 a week for them both? That way I'm still paying them.

The level 3 Qual has no interest.

AH and I knew I forgot something, my HSBC overdraft of £500, I pay £20 a month off with that so there is still money going in just not a lot lol

My Aunt and Uncle visiting from the US gave us £150 for running them about and wouldn't hear of me refusing :A
So I paid it straight to crap1 cc, new totals
    No.069 £4361/ £7719 = 56.49%

Ooooh that 0.1% to get to 56.50% is a bit enticing, I'll have to work out how many £'s that would be.
