    Woohoooo -£30 today!

I spoke to Capital One this morning, I've agreed a £30 payment every week to them and in turn they have frozen all interest on the account.

If I really push it I can afford to make a further £75 a week payment to another company, so I was thinking £30 to HSBC a week and £30 to BT a week.

I feel very happy this morning that I'm finally getting somewhere.

Unfortunately its with taking credit :(. I always think a cheap contract phone is good for this (providing your rating isnt so bad they say no) as you can pick one up with a 24 month contract for £10 or less from E2save etc. Also using a CC for 1 small top up shop a month (max £20 so you dont get in a state again) and paying it straight off each month. If you do use a CC like this and you know your not good at self control make sure you only have 1 card and you refuse all limit increases.

The other way to do it is make a new bills account for food and link a CC to that with a DD set up to pay it off in full. that way you pay your food from it and it already has the money set aside.

Hoping to be able to put some money in my savings soon, just waiting to see how much OH gets paid tomorrow. Need to sort out our boiler insurance today, thinking of getting everything covered as we don't really have any savings right now after buying the flat and neither of us is very practical at fixing things yet as I discovered when one of the toilets last night started making a horrific sound when refilling and I ran screaming (loud noises terrify me) so looks like the valve has gone by some quick googling so thats something to fix this week. Any advice on how to guides would be awesome :p
    HSBC CC - £3000 / £3000
    Halifax CC - £1032.77 / £1032.77
Mortgage currently at [STRIKE]£82,299.71[/STRIKE] £76,017.62 would love to overpay

I really hope your loo isn't electrical jakes-mum, that could be a really unfortunate bathroom incident one day!

Lieu day today, and with absolutely nothing to do I'm going to be trawling the freelancing sites for more work. Also got an old car battery and some clothes that are too bad to sell on ebay to recycle.

Throw in a cheap haircut, and my day is jam packed!
    DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

    Total - 10762/10762 :)

Every silver lining has its cloud.

I have a feeling a phone call to my Dad may be needed tonight :p

This is exactly WHY I married a man who can fix things! My loo prob would be electrical after i'd finished with it if left to try and fix it on my own :o
