Afternoon all,
Well just spent an hour on the phone with the inland revenue. We have just adjusted all my incomes for the last 3 years and my under payment has gone from £1,209.24 to £735.
So asked for some slips to be sent out so I can write some cheques in the future! However on the plus side it means I have and extra £43.31 a month in my pocket.
Well I sent an email to my uncle to see how the house sale over seas is progressing and we are awaiting my useless brother to sort out the paperwork! Once that comes going to clear the Everyday and First direct loan which is about £350 a month but means I save over £500 in interest on the everyday loan.
Though I'm thinking I may have to tackle the other bits now. There is £2,609.00 in over electric and £735.00 in tax now but putting that on yet as it will send me into deep spiral again. I can always return to pay this off!
PS Kerri You don't need a sewing machine0 -
Thanks Suzitiger you are sooo right, I need to actually stick to something!
Camuk...oh but I do, mine's not working properly anymoreI think it just needs a service though, I shall investigate how much a service costs...

Nothing wrong with not sticking to something in the long run, but make sure you use up your jewellery making bits before you move onto something else. Maybe ask for a sewing machine service on freecycle? worth a shot.. :-)Don't turn a slip up into a give up

How about checking on google and see if you can do it yourself?0

Suzi, I think I am going to embellish some of my fabrics with the beads I have for my jewellery making which will make them prettier and that little bit more special.
Camuk, I hadn't even thought about doing that. Although I've just called a bloke down the road and he can service my machine for about £35 which is much more reasonable than the £1600 I want to spend on a sewing machine. I think I'm just a magpie for shiny things.
Thank you both for putting me back into DFW checkDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Hi All!
I'd love to join this, but I'm not sure if i can manage to be debt free by Christmas. I'll give it a good go though, and it will give me a target. In honestly, a more realistic target is Sept 2013, but lets aim high shall we?
A little about me: I'm 31 and from Doncaster, work full time and also do mystery shopping and surveys to make extra money. My current debts total £8937.
For the last few years I've only reallybeen servicing the debts, making minimum payments, etc. I've had a couple of late payments which have affected my credit rating, but nothing major. I'm back up to date with all payments and have been for several months. I'm now in a position to start making head way into the debt.
I've started by moving most of the debt that was on my Tesco CC to a Cap One CC with 0% interest til November. Tesco CC will be cleared and cancelled tomorrow (payday - yay!). I've also got a PPI refund due very shortly as well, so that will be a nice chunk.
One thing that will slow me down in my path to debt freedom is my upcoming wedding in September.
Finally, I am in a long running battle with Santander, regarding the interest rate increases on a Cahoot Flexible Loan (you may have seen the thread on the Loans board about it)
Anyway, thats me! Any advice would be most appreciated, and I'll do my best to return the favour!Santander Loan [STRIKE]£3003[/STRIKE] £2100AA Credit Card [STRIKE]£3148[/STRIKE] £2676Natwest OD [STRIKE]£1500[/STRIKE] £1370Cahoot OD [STRIKE]£1000 [/STRIKE]£650Capital One Card [STRIKE]£641[/STRIKE] £400Total [STRIKE](Jan 12)[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£9546 [/STRIKE] £7196 (Now)0 -
Phoneix welcome abroad,
Think of this as a mutual help board.
Before I started on this thread my debt free date was September 2015, Now I'm looking forward to April 2013 if nothing major happens.
You'll get a number later this week then pop on and let us know how you are doing. Also check the first page for Kerri mini challenges0 -

It's scary Kerri when you start adding it all up what that extra £35 would mean in interest purposes.
Prime example my debt before I joined you guys I would have paid £7,533.02 in interest alone now I'm looking at £2,220.82.0 -
