:j morning all from sunny Wales o I love saying that:D. Well tis end of month here and I'm after a little advice here I've made a fab dent in debt for first month but now 2 days before payday im brassic lol cupboards are full as is fridge n freezer so no worries as don't need anything, but don't know if I should aim for another whopping pay every spare penny off and wing it or pay a little less I only really have my hol- £452 to pay by mid July, Barclays loan S/s of £78 a month, which comes out anyway, marisota £312 and argos on bnpl rent arrears are now clear, so do I plod or race .... On the plus side this month my sons summer clothes and eldest sons bedroom has been totally updated by earn a fiver a day in May....and a lot of Xmas gifts are covered so. Decisions decisions.... I do have £452 here to pay off hol at mo and know deep down I should pay it off but sun is out and so fancy a splurge ...

What I do is put into a separate account where I won't touch it unless I'm desperate, it started like that to see if I could do it and I manage fine without dipping into it for most months.

The Africa trip was great, it was freezing at night but I got a complete break from work as it was so different & I was cut off from all technology!

I totally intended to ask you how it went but haven't been on here as much as usual. Glad you had a good time! I actually really like being cut off sometimes, it's just a relief to not care :)

Stupid Barclays. So I make an overpayment and they still take out the minimum payment, whereas last time I made an overpayment they didn't! Grrrrr!

Barbed.... I just walked into the garden and she's back out again wearing a tiny V to cover her nethers and nothing more!!! This time she's tanning her front apparently. That's going to be painful if it burns ouch ouch ouch.

Kerfuffle, when you are onsite and all you have to do is sit there unless they run into an issue you have to find ways to keep occupied.

I'm sat staring at 32 half yards of fabric :D

No debt payments today, but it is a few days until payday yippee!!

I've had it on subscribe for a while now but decided not to join them as i'm already an active member of 3 challenges which I try to post regularly on and thought adding another one was a bit too much for me :o I go over sporadically and see if they have found any more easy surveys etc though ;)

    Jakes-mum - I knew you'd be on the ball with it :)

I just got a text from 3 saying they are putting my contract up in line with inflation, it's a CONTRACT! They can't do that! I'm not allowed to change the terms of the contract but they are??

Can I refuse the increase like you can with a credit card?

Most direct debit systems will have a cut off a few days before the funds actually gets taken out of your account. I know for our cards the payment has to be cleared on to the cards at least three working days before the DD due date for it to stop the DD from going through.

If you check with your card company they should be able to tell you when that cut off is.

    Hello all!

I'm impressed at how many of you have made progress/payments since I caught up on Friday, well done!:T

Hubby has sold some old clothes on fleabay this weekend, £40 when everyone pays up :)

Ended up buying some new clothes on Saturday morning and used the CC but hoping to pay off those purchases with any birthday money receive (think family are going to give me money as no-one knows what to buy me :D) They were pieces to go with the dress DH has bought me for my birthday, which I wore yesterday :p and loads of people commented on how much weight I've lost so feeling cheerier about it all now :D

4 days til my penultimate loan payment goes out and it should (I think) take me to the 50% mark. Roll on Friday!

    Keep debt-busting xxx
