    Hi all

Hope you are all enjoying the sun!

Just a quick update from me (it's payday) so my new total (with the interest added back on) is:

    £9,303.86/ £10,678.72

    Only £1,374.86 to go!

I intend to start saving for a deposit once this is cleared but like many of you I don't want to go on another board

Anyway - Hugs for all :A

Fallen - so glad to hear about OH's mum! Great news! :)

Fab total and percentage, I'm well jel because I'm hot on your heels total wise but so far behind with my percentage  You must be so excited...do you have a target DFD in mind?

Unfortunately i will have to cut my payments down to a tad above minimum payments for a while.
My fil has been taken ill, and oh had to make a mad dash across the country to see him.
So my plan for the time being is to stash the money i would have been using for repayments into a savings acccount, so if we need to travel up again we won't need to borrow. Although i have added an od to my bank account as part of my plan c option:o:o

  • Hello sorry I've been MIA for a while - I've been catching up with cleaning, gardening and enjoying myself since finishing my exams ;). I hope everyone's OK.

I've made a debt payment of £389 today so that gives me a total of:

    £1988/£4515 (44%)

I'm happy with that as it's not far from the 50% mark :j! So hopefully we can go over that next month.

DH has started his new job so we need to see how much he will be earning after tax and then decrease our monthly debt payment plan as he's going to be earning less than before.

Just popping by for a catch up. Great to hear the news about your OH's mum Fallen, that must be a huge relief.

Well, there was me all happy cus I managed to put some money in the new shiny savings account, and one trip to the dentist later I'm now going to have to save for a new crown, darn it, and not even the bejeweled shiny one you wear on your head!

Well done on all the payments, payday's round the corner, yippee!:j

Great news that you've paid your debts off :j:j - I missed the day you did it so sorry congrats are a bit late!!
Morning all, thank you all so much for wishes I gave the OHs Mam the biggest hug EVER when they stopped over for coffee yesterday morning, was an amazing sense of relief and we couldn't stop grinning.

Avenue Q was brilliant fun and I discovered I get free metro fare with my tickets for that theatre so that saved on driving and parking costs as we live right next to a metro station.

My plans for the day started with a 5am alarm call as OH had to be at work at 7 and if he missed the metro I would have to drive him in (has happened before) thankfully I could go back to sleep so now I'm just going to do so stuff on my laptop and then go and lie down in our shared garden and read my book once the sun is on the back of the flat :)

Hope everyone has a lovely day and stay safe in the sun, I have my factor 20 ready to go :)

I'm happy for you that your OH's mum is OK :).

I had to push aside the tumbleweeds coming online this evening. I assume everyone's been enjoying the hot weather then?

Filed a £250 invoice this afternoon and have a few more freelance items over the weekend, so hoping to put some more money towards my total. For now though, a glass of cider over ice will help to cool me down.

BURNING!!!!! Stupid stupid Jemma, out in the garden since 9.30am with no sun cream on...! Ouch! Oh well, got a lot sorted and am in the process of designing my parents back garden as it's a complete mess. I spent the day just ripping up old carp/weeds and pruning loads of bushes back (no rude comments here peeps...!). I'm going to have to dress as Lawrence of Arabia tomorrow to continue... I've got loads of cowboy hats but unfortunately they are all bright multicoloured glitter ones from my sisters hen do! I'd look at sight to the neighbours...

Ahhhh well, I'm off to bed now, will catch up and do my updating tomorrow night when I don't feel I'm slowly being cooked in oil...

Hope you're all having superb weekends xxx

  • Hello everyone - what a fabulous heatwave :j I thought it was about time I tried a more detailed post so here goes:
catmort - welcome back - hope your trip to Africa was amazing??
Natalie - I like your style! Nearly up to your wedding and 50% paid off - congratulations :D
Jakes-mum - you're so close to that 50% well done
FREEZ - hooray for your 50%
his missus - sorry for your glum Friday. I'm glad you shared it because we all have days like that and it helps us all to follow each others ups and downs. Just keep on track and July will feel amazing when you smash that loan :A
choclover - well done and I am sure you will get to that 40 % especially with OH chipping in with his Ebaying - I am looking forward to baby pics. Good luck! :D
lemonpopsicle - woohoo on 54.42% and I am loving your signature "instructions" :T
katiec950 - Wow - so close to the finish line - Go Girl!
Avo-girly - sounds very sensible to me. I have had to re-jiggle my payments because sticking too tightly to my budget and monthly repayment totals was making me too uptight and I don't want to be too unbearable for my nearest and dearest to put up with me :p

 to everyone and thanks for all the support on this board X

Morning everyone, I'm sat at a customer site somewhere between Nuneaton and Tamworth in the middle of the countryside "just in case" something goes wrong, so I am being paid time + half for sitting here doing nothing!!! Amazing! Although I worked out my hourly rate is about £13/hr for some reason I thought it was more than that, but I think my take home is about £11/hr because we get some odd points system that bumps up the wages or health/dental or whatever you choose...

No payments from me today but I am looking a tad pink after sitting in the garden for too long yesterday. I do have to share my housemates lovely tan with you though, as I think she shocked the neighbours yesterday. She sunbathed her front on Friday so needed to do her back yesterday. However, her version of tanning her back was to take her bikini top off, and wear a G string....all very well as long as you don't move the string then you only get one line....except she moved it at some point and came away with the funniest double crossed T shape ever hahahahahaa!!! Sorry shouldn't laugh, but it was BRIGHT red as well oops! Maybe I'll call her baboon later.

Hope you all enjoy the sunshine, only a few days left until payday for me now :D
