You don't have to leave us when you've cleared the debt, i think Jemma will change it to savings for you so you can keep track of all your lovely money you will be saving:D

Thanks Freez! I'm really chuffed and can't wait until it's over so I don't need to work so much! :rotfl:

That would be great if I could stay! I could always set an amount and say I owe it to my savings account or something! Hopefully this would help keep me motivated too!! :j
  • Evening all

I paid off another £1000 of what I owe my ex tonight after being paid yesterday.... I'm about 2/3 of the way there with that, and then I will be able to start taking down other debts - I can't wait for that as then it will feel like I am making a real difference rather than just treading water. Of the other money I had set aside I am almost exactly level with where I was after last month, which shows how super careful I am going to have to be - I thought that was a really frugal month but I have spent my budget!

I am not sure whether to be pleased or not... but that's where I'm up to.

Well done everyone on your payments:T

feeling glum again - I've decided Fridays don't like me :(

Not only have I gained 4lbs this week (:eek:4lbs!!!!!!) but I sat on my make-up this morning and had to change my white trousers, good thing DH noticed before we went to work!:p

Yesterday evening, we went clothes shopping and spent far too much and ended up using the CC AGAIN! SO next month, I'll just end up playing catch-up with it. Roll on July when my loan is paid off and I can really concentrate on the CC at last.

Have a good day everyone xxx

ps fallen -fab news about OH's mum :)

Don't get disheartened - I have days like this too - the main thing is you know that you are paying your debt off, even if its slower than you'd like, and that you'll get there in the end. The occasional splurge is forgiveable:A

    Hi guys,

I've been awol for the last month, starting with my African holiday then it was hard to get back into the non-spending habit but I'm still on track and I've just transferred some more money to my savings for my credit card as I got paid today so my new total is:

    #281: £3,227.32/£7,735.45 (42%)

It is really helping just paying off 1/12th of what I owe each month as soon as I get paid as then I don't have it to spend :) so I should be on track to finish with my December pay :)

I've set myself an NSD target for June now as having that to aim for really helps me cut out any unnecessary spends.

Morning all, thank you all so much for wishes I gave the OHs Mam the biggest hug EVER when they stopped over for coffee yesterday morning, was an amazing sense of relief and we couldn't stop grinning.

Avenue Q was brilliant fun and I discovered I get free metro fare with my tickets for that theatre so that saved on driving and parking costs as we live right next to a metro station.

My plans for the day started with a 5am alarm call as OH had to be at work at 7 and if he missed the metro I would have to drive him in (has happened before) thankfully I could go back to sleep so now I'm just going to do so stuff on my laptop and then go and lie down in our shared garden and read my book once the sun is on the back of the flat :)

Hope everyone has a lovely day and stay safe in the sun, I have my factor 20 ready to go :)

  • That sounds like a nice day FW!

So much to do today, sort out stuff for car boot in the morning, 4000 word dissertation for uni (needs to be sent on Tuesday), return a pair of shorts to asda, get some change for tomorrows float, take Mr S to Heathrow, tidy the flat, pack the car boot stuff in the car before Mr S goes, as I won't be able to do it on my own.

No debt busting, just been spending money instead... but not THAT much :)

Hope you all have lovely plans for the weekend!

i dont have much debt, but being on a state pension, ANY debt is a drain.

absolutely extorionate, but i am now getting to grips with it all.

OK, so again it's been a while, sorry! Monthly payday sucks, but you do get to knock off a nice chunk! I'm now at the point where I've completely cleared 4 of my original debtors and only have 2 left, both on happy payment plans. 2012 might be my year after all!
