J-M how can it be sneaky when there was no back pay in the first place
Well this is my thinking as well, though this was on top of the imaginary back pay :rotfl:*pokes head up from behind where the biscuits and back pay are hidden* what back pay Jakes-Mum? *munch, munch, munch.....scatters biscuit crumbs everywhere* wohahahaha
I have absolutely no idea what back pay your talking about or any hiding places it may have or may not have been hidden in . . .Yes me too, but I did in fact manage to get one item for free. I got £1 coupon for any flash product and found Tesco had Flash sprays for £1.They've realised their "mistake" now and the coupon is no longer available but I've still got one left :j I have to say I get really nervous at the till in case I get into an argument about them, but so far so good.
As for DH and the smoking he's been at it since he was 14 and he's 47 now, at least a pack a day. He really needs to quit as it's affecting this health now. He's sort of mentioned something about quitting at Easter but so far nothings happened and I can't ask him because, apparently, that's putting pressure on and he's a grown man who known what he's doing!!?!?!? We would be over £200 per month better off if only he would.
The best ive done with couponing was a £50 odd shop for £12, soooo want that free shop! Watched an episode last night and she got $1160 worth of stuff AND they gave her £160 odd on a gift card because her coupons actually made her money  If we actually managed that over here, no way would we get the money, they would just keep the excess.
DH is 42 and he was a smoker from his very early teens too, 20 a day, up to 60 on a weekend , had to put my foot down when they creeped over the £5 mark as I couldnt afford £40 odd a week plus beer money when I had (at the time) 1 kid to feed and a mortgage to pay. My favourite arguement everytime he sneaks back to it is 'validate it to me, argue why its more important that feeding your children and keeping them warm?'SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

Well in that case.......

True. There's no way they would give the cash over here
My favourite arguement everytime he sneaks back to it is 'validate it to me, argue why its more important that feeding your children and keeping them warm?'
Crafty. I'd probably use something like that too. That way it's "his" idea to give up :rotfl:Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Nope! its got to be done! I cant take it anymore! That 4k paid off is staring at me, so im declaring another £100 off DH's overdraft (only £300 to go now :j :j and havent actually been more than £100 in for months :j :j)

Yay well done Jakes-mum
My expenses have finally been paid, however the reference looks a little strange so I've replied to my expenses "please be patient" email inquiring as to why this has suddenly changed. I'm also in a huff with my manager as he still hasn't approved my expenses from last week so I'm not going to get those next week.
I don't think I can afford to take £50 off my ODnot until the £280 expenses come in. So will you all forgive me if I live on the £95 I have after bills from this expense bill, and I shall remove £300 from my OD when the £280 comes in

Sometimes being an ex employee of the local shop really has its advantages
Just popped into Mr C and was chatting away to one of the lads I worked with, next thing I know hes got the reduced gun out and is reducing everything already in the reduced sections :j :j so I followed him round the store and got 4 extra large baps for 5p, 6 medium brown rolls for 1p, 10 slices of chicken and stuffing for 10p , my 2 naughty buys
pack of 5 chocolate doughnuts 26p and pack of 6 lemon curd tarts 48p. Plus picked up 6 tins of Ambr0sia Custard on BOGOF 85p (ok not the cheapest but still not a bad price) and then 2 packs of 6 lollies for £1 each (not reduced but works out cheap enough each for puddings
), oh and dont forget my battery for the smoke alarm reduced to £1.72 :rotfl:
Then used me 10% off discount card so spent a grand total of £6.52 :rotfl:SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

That's great, I need to decrease my food bills from next week. I'm inspired now to write a list and food plan for next week, ta :T:jBrandNewStart wrote: »Hi guys, nice to read all your posts this eve. I've just ventured onto some of the other MSE boards.... wow! Hi Jakes-mum,
I know I'm probably a little late to the party on this one, but can I ask what 'the game' is? I've seen you refer to it so often I'd like to know if it's one I play myself, although in fairness I don't spend to buy items etc on free-to-play games like this one sounds.
After the small spend on a new car battery, my little Japanese friend now requires a new alternator and connections. North of £300....and I've just had to buy a new phone, and tax the damn thing too. Well, at least the tax was cheap.
Hope y'all are having better luck!DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!
