Missyg, what a fantastic Ebay result!!!! What sold well for you????
I'm in complete awe, I will have to make a determined effort this week with listing.0 -
Hello everyone- I feel as though I only joined this thread and then deserted everyone, whilst I battled with problems with a jammed car boot etc. DH opened it with my key and then insisted it was me being dizzy- but then why couldn't the bloke at the tip open it either.
Anyway the stuff I had in there has gone as well as a spare mattress (from when ds had bunk beds) and an old chest of drawers (bought new the other week). I have also filled 2 bin -liners full of kids outgrown clothes, one is for recycling and will be collected at end of week, the other for charity, which will go tomorrow. :T
The whole house has been tidied this w/end, so fingers crossed I can start tackling the hotspots I still have left to de-clutter.0 -
Sadly, I've done nothing useful this evening although I did enjoy watching the new series "The Last Enemy" - nice bit of escapism - plus "Larkrise to Candleford". I need those kicks folks! Tomorrow is a 5.30am start to walk the dogs before school. Won't be home before 7pm - and that's when I HAVE to stay focussed and DO something!Resolution:
Think twice before spending anything!0 -
well my listings have finished on ebay and there's another 22 dvd's gone yay! so some money towards the wedding and some more clutter out of the house. It all helps and i'll keep going at it0

Gosh, everyone's done so well this weekend, and inspiration for ebay! Don't know if I can face it, though - kind of lost momentum with ebay.
I've had a fabulous clearing wkend, since beginning with the wardrobe. Tackle it, Redspecs! I gave myself 20 mins to start, came back on, did another hour, grabbed a cuppa. But then it really took off, and I've also half cleared the spare room, and have an organised pile of stuff in the hall to go. So feel very good.
Thank you for all the inspiration you all give.
Off to bed, now. Sweet dreams, all (or should I say, clutter-free dreams :rotfl:!)

Hello I'm trying to do a great declutter on my house, the loft was the biggest problem and have been slowly emptying it but unfortunately the stuff up there is now incorporated in the rooms of my house and there is still more to come down and it looks like a bomb has hit my house. It does depress me sometimes, but we want the loft clear so we can put more insulation up there(when we can afford to buy it). I have been ebaying since beginning of January and the money has been used to help clear our overdraft which is a real bonus. Now hopefully I can use the spare money from ebay to pay off some of our credit card. This week I didn't make as much on ebay as previous weeks. I only had 7 things listed and 2 didn't sell and currently 4 people haven't paid. I'm gonna keep plugging away at this and it will be worth it in the end I'm sure. I have 3 boys and my youngest son(4) is loving all the extra toys coming down from the loft but he is a hoarder(like me) and wants to keep it all in his tiny bedroom. I have to sneak things out to put on ebay. Having 3 boys meant toys got duplicated. We had 5 different train track sets, now down to 2, I think I will get rid of one more. Anyway if you have got this far I have a question if anyone can answer When have you found the best time for ebay listings to finish? Sorry if it's been asked before but I haven't got round to reading all the pages on this great motivating thread.0

Not posted for a couple of days (been nosing though!) so first:-
hello to all those who've joined in lately:hello:
Friday was work and then hair cut (should have weighed it!:D )
Saturday was sort out parents computer connections etc.
Today was - Noooooooo don't make me go back there, such scarey memories!
I put on the washing - sun's shining and I feel good sort of mood, we finished garden (2 lb) and for some stupid reason I went up to our bedroom, opened the window to let the fresh air in and started sorting (started! - I ain't finished! )
I have enough cleanser and moisturiser to last the rest of my life!
I had (any male visitors close eyes now please) Lilets that pre-date my dd's (12 next month) not sure if they have a use by date but ummm in the bin they went:o
clothes - this went good - I didn't worry if they fitted, I just held them against me and thought are you going to wear this again? 1 whole stone gone and wardrobe is now all sorted and tidy:D
old boots & shoes gone, loads of books gone, magazines gone:T
then I decided that some of the stuff on book shelf would be better out of bedroom and in office which was fine except that the only way to fit them in office was to take out piles of photos and that means sorting them:eek:
Not a bad thing I suppose though
so:-
5 stone 1 lb out of bedroom today (and I haven't finished:o )
lots of photos & negs to sort.
I think I'm getting there but it's so very hard to tell sometimes!
Hope everyone had a good day today - this thread's starting to gallop ahead of my reading speed:D0 -
I've finally finished sorting the bedroom out-yay
I still need to vacuum inthere though but thought it a bit late now... Only because my DDs are asleep and they are at school in the morning. If they had been on holiday I would have done it tonight while I'm still motivated. Got a binbag full of rubbish out of there. Put a few things in the loft, emptied a chest of drawers and they will go in the loft later in the week.
So that's the loft done. my bedroom almost done (apart from vacuuming and I have my wardrobe to sort out again!!!), I have found alot more floor space in the kitchen than I remember now I have cleared a shelf unit away-in the loft, in an attempt to make sure the loft stays tidy!!!
I'm getting in to this de cluttering!!!
Just had offers tonight on 2 of my ebay items, think I will probably accept both-It's an extra tenner and 2 more things out of the way!!!
Right, bed time I'm knick knacked!!! (keeping it polite!!GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Just checking in to say hi and hope you all have a good week of sorting out and organising! I will try to catch up properly later (when the post office has closed!)
Stampyfoot, I always end my auctions on Sunday evenings around 8pm and that has been very good for me lately.
So much parcelling to do now! Scary! But I'll crack on!0 -
Stampyfoot could you get a grant from the council to insulate your loft ? Just a thought.Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0
