Hi Redspecs
I'll tag on with you, Redspecs, if I may... if I know somebody else is beginning their journey to decluttering this weekend, it'll help me to get more motivated. I've been trying to attack our bedroom this morning, but just can't seem to focus on it and keep getting distracted. Perhaps I'll go and sort out my wardrobe - been putting this off for ever. Please post and let me know how you get on.
Hi, I'm back! Haven't been on since lunchtime at work on Friday.
Well, not decluttered the wardrobe yet, however one major thing has happened - I've finally got to the bottom of my enormous washing pile MONSTER :j that has plagued me as long as we've had this house (ahem, that's 5 years!!). I feel so pleased!
So now its clear I have to make time to declutter the wardrobe, because there's now clothes absolutely spilling out of it. I've got piles of clothes all over the spare (double) bed, and the 'ironing pile' has a wardrobe's full on its own. Something has to be done. If I wear a new outfit every day for the rest of my life, I doubt I'd get through it all!
That spare room needs a tidy-up and that's all linked with the clothes decluttering. Hopefully, the tidyness of that room will then spill out to the rest of the house, if I can keep up the momentum.
Still, Rome wasn't built in a day, and I've made a start. How did you get on icandream?Live better on less :beer:0 -
Photos have all been sorted now folks! 7+ plastic crates worth into 1.5 crates, I am amazed! Now that it's manageable and not taking up loads of space, I'm taking a break from them before deciding what to do about scanning/albums etc.
Ebay total from stuff ending today was £416! I am stunned (I was hoping for £100!). Hope everyone else has had a great day0 -
:j Wow missyg that ebay total is great. Well done with the photo consolidation too.Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

Hi everyone, because off my late start tidying the bedroom, I'm still doing it!!! Have put a few items into my immaculate loft!!! (I can't believe how tidy it is!!!). I'm even clearing out the kitchen at the same time!!! My OH says 1 job at once, but they're all interlinked. So better get back up there - got to clear bed before I can get in it tonight!!! and I've even thrown that chipped mug away-that I wouldn't part with because it was part of a nice set-how sad is that.
Well done pigpen and missyg that's great, I have had a steady trickle of sales all week-another £75 and 5 things to post out tomorrow!!!GE 36 *MFD may 2043

*Shuffles in sideways, hanging head in shame*
Hello everyone.....not done much de-cluttering lately but made another start today. (Some of you peeps make me feel every so guilty...not mentioning any names...cough, cough!!)
Have been sorting out make-up and toiletries today and just wondered what to do with the de-clutterery stuff. Some of it is in really good nick, (bought wrong colour...that sort of thing), hardly used. Do I just bin it, or would a charity shop take it...or Freecycle?? I really don't know what to do as it seems a shame to just bin it?? Can't see it doing anything on Ebay. Your thoughts would be very helpful here.
Have had a few things on EBay recently though...ta da...grand total for the last 2 days...£48.44 for 8 items. About another 20+ to go. Isn't it funny how some things you expect to sell well make just a few pence and somethings you think may not sell at all go down a storm with peeps fighting for them???? I guess it's the uncertainty and unpredictablity that helps keep us interested.*Stands to attention...'I hereby promise to be a better de-clutterer this week'...dib dib dib etc*:o

Evening all. I did the cupboard under the sink - yeah!!!! And I ironed. So I have No Washing (only what the kids wore yesterday), No Ironing, No Cleaning(except the bathroom), Just a whole house to de-clutter! No the kitchen is nearly done so I'm happy with that.
Anyway, have a good Monday everyone, got to work tomorrow had to change my day off to Wed. I hate working Mondays, have only worked on a Monday about 6 times in the last 7 years! Never mind, least I won't be cleaning!!!!! lolNeed to sort my life out! :T0
