I knew someone would say it, I just wasn't sure who it would be
Tattycath, check your lottery ticket, you may be able to pay someone to declutter for youYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Put 5 more things on Ebay, only 1 with a bid so far but that's up to £12.50!

Morning! While doing flylady list yesterday(well most of it) I decluttered top shelf of wardrobe and my 'everything' drawer in CofD's. Makeup, hair stuff, some photos etc. Not done that drawer for ages. Even found Next delivery notes from last april!!!!! Anway, was really pleased with myself. Doing todays list and will also be decluttering the bathroom and computer area(not a office just at bottom of stairs). Have a good day everyone, now I really MUST do some work!Need to sort my life out! :T0

Hey everyone
I sent more than 50 items out in the post yesterday, three separate trips to the post office! Thankfully that's the bulk of it, but there is still a bit more to do today. I don't think I'll make so many auctions end at the same time again, that was a little too much work! Worth it though!
I'm freecycling a chest of drawers which has been used for storage in the shed - now that I've freed up my good old Ikea stacking shelves after the photo sort out, those can go in there for storage instead
Nix143 - 2 pairs of shoes certainly does count! As long as you don't go out and buy another 3 pairs
Miro - well done on your ebaying! I put a shoebox full of toiletries stuff on Freecycle, some partly used some not. It was gratefully received. Otherwise if you have any young people's hostels/care centres near you, they can usually make good use of toiletries.
Tibbie's mum - my ebaying was a real success this time and I have now sold more than £1,100 worth since the new year (before fees)! I had a few things in the £30-£40 bracket but other than that it was just small sales, mostly CDs. The CDs have done a lot better than I thought.
Kscour - your earlier message had me :rotfl: You're doing a fab job there, what are you doing with the stuff you're chucking out? Really enjoyed your thoughts about simpler life. For me 'decluttering' (hate that word) isn't just about getting rid of stuff in the house, it's about making your life better - slowing down, having time to do things properly, opting out of the "buy buy buy" mentality.
Tattycath - did you accept those ebay offers? I have one last thing on ebay at the moment and I'm sitting on a couple of decent offers, but I think I might leave it 24 more hours and see if I can get the full buy it now price...
Pigpen - your job sounds a complete nightmare, if you have been flinging at this rate for 6-7 years then I don't know how you cope!!! Is it just that your family are bringing stuff into the house faster than you can clear the old stuff? Can you lay down the law about stuff coming in, because it's going to run you ragged!
Craftyscholar - yes, your slides can be transferred to a photo CD and somewhere like Jessops should be able to help you with that, or some home scanners can do the job, but if it's only 150 slides a professional service would probably be best. If you are doing them yourself get a bulb blower and give each slide a blast to get rid of dust particles before you scan
Dobs - don't keep us in suspense here! Hahaha Poppett, it's like the scene in Only Fools and Horses. Rodney "what did she have?" Delboy "it's a little baby, Rodney!"
Melvis - so sorry to hear about your OH and I hope everything works out for the best! Sometimes a setback can turn out to be the best thing that's ever happened.
Have a good day everyone.0 -

Yes I accepted 2 offers. I waited for one and someone else offered 41p more so I accepted that offer. I still have an offer in for another book-just biding my time. My total sales (before fees) is just over £164 - not bad for just stuff I'm clearing out. And I still have about 8 boxes in the loft + some of my OHs stuff that he's been keeping-not including the stuff i've been hoarding in other areas of the house!!!!! I feel a few car boots coming on this summer too!!!
