I've only posted a few times and have mentioned that I love decluttering.
In advance of the 5p ebay day and after catching up on this thread I spent 30mins looking through my pretty much decluttered flat and found 16 items that could go. I ebayed them and 13 sold so after fees I made £52 which is adding to my May mortgage overpayment.

Thanks for the continued inspiration from the posters on this thread, and for those who are struggling keep with it, it's lovely when your home is clutter free!

    Hi can I join please?

Clutter seems to be building up again. Finally realised how much there is when I lost my cheque book and tried going through the paper, magazines, books, brochures, saved jiffy bags, stuff to ebay etc.

Have also lost just over 2 stone in the last year and have got rid of some clothes - but am sure there are more to go through ;)

Plus, still have stacks of CD's that I don't listen to much, craft stuff I haven't had a chance to do any of in the last year etc :o as well as a pile of books and cd's still at me mum's (been there for over 2 years!) :o

OH is a tidy freak and chucks stuff away easily (sometimes too easily) but I need to clear up my wardrobe, craft cupboard and under me bed! Got next week off work so it will be time to tackle it all

Well started declutter today, in my little girls room, sorted the wardrobes out, one bag for recycling, & about 40 items for ebay, there are a mix of mens tshirts some new some only worn only & little girls clothes am I better to sell in a bundle??
When I have decided which is the best way to go with the stuff to get rid of I will start on our bedroom
    Many thanks

Had a great day today, managed to meet everyone who wanted things successfully and they were happy with things and paid so things have left our house and the people who've taken them want them so that's good (and the £44 will come in handy too ;))

So 1 bookcase, 2 t shirts and 57 books out! and 2 more t shirts which were brand new have gone back to the person I worked for when I got them as they still give these out to students and I figured that was fair (and 2 more things gone).

Have got tomorrow off work and will be at home most the day so hope I get plenty done then!

Did an hour of blitzing at OH's home this morning first thing - dusting, cleaning bathrooms and emptying bins. Have loaded up washing machine to squeeze in more drying as its likely to be my last drying day before the weekend. With two viewings on Saturday, the house needs a bit more sprucing!

Relisted a couple of ebay items.

Can't do much more large scale decluttering until Friday when I return to my house. Lot's to do there! I have at last found a home for the stick blender that I put on freecycle, but it doesn't look like folks near OH's house are much into boot sales so I am likely to take that box of stuff back to mine as people are always taking boot sale boxes there!

The main decluttering I am likely to do today will be getting rid of my tax bills and end of year accounts to the HMRC! It will certainly feel like a weight lifted when I get that done!

I am keen to get going packing up OH's house so we can move back to mine - but I can't do any more than I have already or it will start looking like an empty house! I had a buy a bar of soap for OH last night because i had packed up all the toiletries and taken them over to my house already!

I am flying off to Belfast for the day tomorrow so it will be an early start, then a late drive back to my home again.

Might have a mooch about the garage again this afternoon to see if there is anything else to chuck....
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

    2 binbags to charity shop
1 carrier of ebay parcels (and half a roll of bubble wrap!! lol)

    Ebay.
0/10 with bids.. 5 watchers.. 7 were listed last night so not been on long.

I am hoping to get another 5 things on ebay today at least.. but my list if jobs is so long I am practically falling over it!!

Best make a start or nothing will get done.. big job first I think.. then it looks like I've done more than I have... :D...

De-cluttering seems to be at a standstill here as we've been busy outdoors building a fence. I guess this could count though, as we've had the materials in the garden for months and now we've got on with it the area is so much tidier.

Will be bringing some things 'in' today as I'm off to buy some clothes. I've a credit note that expires soon plus a £10 gift voucher to use. Am hoping to get something for a friends wedding in the summer. Will try to discard the same amount of stuff (on the one-in-one-out principal) when I get back. Have a huge pile of ironing to do - perhaps if I chuck out from that pile I'll save myself work too ;).

Where's the best place to get some cash for a pile of CD's? Is a bundle of CD's better on ebay? Got lots, some a bit random and unknown.

I will go through craft books too and sell some more of those (already sold a load on ebay when I moved - mostly got back what I paid for them new, but they are all in really good nick ;)).

Anyone know where to get hold of a cheap shredder? Got stacks of paper clutter :o

now i am sure i am doing this decluttering all wrong:eek: ...

while we now 5 bin bags of baby clothing to take down to the charity shop..

our house seems to be fuller...

we are moving rooms around as DD1 (9) is coming downstairs into the middle room to sleep..well she needed a bed and well looking around we found a high bed with double futon underneath on ebay for............. well guess...

    .....no wrong....

    0.99p

yes 99p for a bed and well its perfct for her and what we want...so in the midst of trying to declutter we seem to be doing more cluttering...

oh well we are promising our selves that through half term when the big move around takes place ( all 4 kids are changing rooms  ) we will declutter at thaat time
