Hi everyone,
I read through this this morning and I have decided to get my backside in gear and dejunk my house. I have listed 12 items on ebay and taken photos of about 30 more things - need to check with my husband if it is ok to put this lot on.
Just joined freecycle to get rid of a toaster and bits and bobs.
Oh and have bagged up clothes I do wear and won't fetch much on ebay for charity.
Feeling good about it now. Getting rid of the junk seems to have showed me that we actually have some nice stuff but it has been hidden for so long underneath a pile of junk that I forgot it was there.Anyone fancy buying my degree? It will only cost you £18k.
May grocery challenge - target = £140
£2 coin savers club - started April 1st - so far £28!:D
Boots card points 67889:T

I was talking to my sister last night and she said that if she does`nt use anything within 6 months she gets rid of it.I answered that if i did`nt use anything within 36yrs i get rid! lol I`m not joking either! We`ve got rid of that much junk now - still more to go - but i can now see spaces and gaps in and around our house, i`m so excited !!0

Right, I've had enough, I've been preparing ebay stuff almost all bloomin' day! I have my 30 items loaded up and nearly ready to go, just need to sort out the postage on them which I will do tomorrow.
Hope everyone's remembered to work with the new Royal Mail rates that come in on the 7th April
I'm going to use the 5p promo day as an excuse to start some of them at more than 99p! I'm such a rebel
Finished cleaning up the chest of drawers, and also walked a bag of plastics to the recycling this afternoon. Will do glass tomorrow (yes, I'm in an area where we get hardly anything picked up at the kerb... but I don't mind the exercise!)
Well done to everyone who's been working extremely hard and posting their updates!
Hi Daisy, keep us posted on how your ebay stuff is going! Good luck.
Pigpen, hope you get the money you need
Nuttywoman 6 months is quite extreme, what happens about her Christmas decos? Hehe. I'm similar though... with very few exceptions, things have to have a USE. I don't like keeping things because they look pretty or because they remind me of some distant memory (who's that in your avatar by the way, is it you?)

Currently £20.54 on 15 out of 36 items
Going up slowly but surely. I don't think I'm doing quite as well with it as I was earlier in the year, but maybe that's because my best stuff has already gone
30 more items to finalise and list later on today, and once that's done my tax return preparation is the next priority.0 -
I walk round the house in frustration finding things that haven't been used for years yet I can't persuade my O.H to get rid of them because he feels it would be like throwing away part of his life. The loft is full of stuff that isn't used. we have books which have never been read or are kept because "one day I'll find time to read them" and a garage full of items "which will come in useful one day". Helpful hints please.0
