  • Spin dryer moved ready for collection. Re-cycling box relocated so now easier to get hoover out of cupboard.

Oops - knew there might be a snag to this plan

I love to fling.. my bins have been emptied and my house is full of more junk to go!!

I am sorting shoes next.. bet I can find a binbag to go.. I also have found my camera charger!! YAY!!!! ebay here I come.. sadly postage costs will be up 50p to cover the additional fees but hey-ho.. if they think postage is too high they don't have to bid..

I'm intrigued PP, where was the elusive charger? :D

it was under the sofa I had moved 3 times.. BUT this time I lifted and shifted rather than slid it along the floor so I think it must have just slid along with it the last few times.. silly me!!

    The bricks have gone!!

Hi everyone, hope you're all well :D. Just popping on to say hello as haven't been on for a few days.

Has anyone ever held a swap party (no, not that sort:D). Where you take unwanted stuff hoping that someone will take it off your hands?! I was thinking of clothes, make up etc not husband and kids, 'tho its tempting sometimes! I think its a really good idea and it might give me an incentive to clean up if people were coming over lol.

    What do you think?

    How's everyone doing?

Laptop reformat = nightmare. It's all gone so well except for getting the wireless network connection working again :( Which is of course the main thing I need on my laptop for when I'm out and about! Oh well, few other things I'm trying before I visit the tech support forums...

Down to 21 buy-it-now CDs left on ebay, whatever doesn't sell by the morning those listings will be ended and the rest coming to the car boot. Then no more ebaying for at LEAST three weeks (remember I said that!!!)

I've had an offer of help with selling and the use of a bigger car for the car boot tomorrow! Really pleased about that as the thought of doing it on my own with little one in tow was a bit daunting. Quite looking forward to it now, the only thing that worries me is not covering the fee with sales and having to bring everything back :o, that would be awful! Oh, and the weather!

Swap party sounds a great idea Cat64! You'd just have to be careful not to end up with more than you started with :rotfl:

I still need to get the washing dried, ironed and put away. The rubbish went yesterday so that's about 7 bin bags gone. I've got all of my glass in the car ready to go to the tip and about 60 veggie oil bottles.
Hoping that we can paint the lounge tomorrow but DH has to go out for a bit during the day.
Maybe we can get the fireplace cemented ready for the hearth to go in. I cannot wait until I've got my lovely fireplace fitted so that I can light the fire in the evenings. It's so cold at the moment and we've no radiator in the lounge until we've painted.

*waves frantically to attract missyg's attention :hello: :hello: :hello: , (or anyone else!!)*

Could I just ask you about selling CD's on ebay?? I've just sold my first one, (well, a talking book actually), and was wondering about packaging it to send off...is just a jiffy-type bag enough or do they need anything more substantial? Also can you remember how much one CD costs to post first class? Gonna follow your example and try and get rid of a few more now!

    Many thanks
