Similar experience ordered an item which had 15 day delivery time, waited patiently and nothing. Contacted them to be told they were just getting some more stock in and would be a few days more, waited again but then decided to cancel and nothing arrive.
When trying to cancel was then told the item had been dispatched and that they couldn't cancel the order.
Another 10 days later nothing arrived contacted to cancel again, and they said the item had "just been dispatched" and surprise surprise they wouldn't cancel order again.
    Complete con-artists AVOID!
Thankfully purchased via credit card so have gone to credit card company to sort out.

Wish I'd have checked them out before ordering :(

FWIW petition here showing others who've obviously been conned by this mob

(New user so can't post links sadly)

PS - Forgot to mention, whilst it might be coincidence a few days after the order was placed I had a fraudalent transaction on my credit card.

Just curious if anyone else has had that experience?
  • Further to my previous posts, I too would like to mention that my credit card was also used fraudulently a few days after WAEPlus helped themselves to my account!!! Someone had tried to create a new account with my credit card details on another site that I use. So what with the money being illegitimately taken from my account by WAEPlus, I also had to set up a fraud investigation with my credit card company.

I couldn't be sure the two events were connected but as the previous poster has had the same thing happen to them I wonder...
  • Just to confirm what everyone else has been saying - they took my money instantly but I have not managed to get a refund so far. My critical review on another site was removed within seconds of it being posted so they clearly are trying to hide how bad they are. They are no barge poles long enough for dealing with these people...

Thank you Newbies, for your insights and experiences.

Trading Standards Birmingham have an active case open regarding WAE plus and its directors.

Please, Send your complaints to Mike.Gutowski@birmingham.gov.uk, the more they see the more reason they will have to shut them down, or prosecute and fine.

It took Trading Standards 3 months just to respond, but I believe anyone who's mistreated by WAE+ should be heard.

May also support any credit card or bank chargebacks.

    Trading Standards direct email Mike.Gutowski@birmingham.gov.uk

    Best of luck everyone.

Thanks for this, I've emailed him. Also could I maybe encourage people to report this to watchdog?

  • After getting a judgment against them in the county court I have now revived a cheque form them for the last part of the court cost. WAE are now constantly emailing me to make sure that I write to the county court and tell them that they have paid the debt. I think they are worried about their credit rating.

I have explained to WAE that I am out of stock on writing letters to courts and anyhow my policy is to wait 30 days before sending them.

Thanks for this Claire - I have reported them to Trading Standards having spent £271 on a graphics card that they said was in stock but wasn't and now having waited 30 days for a refund have stated various excuses for further delays. Luckily paid with my credit card so will get it refunded but I'm going to double check my statement when I get home having heard about the fraudulent use of other people's cards.

Interested if anyone has reached out to Watchdog as I would be happy to pass on my story to them. Also my 1 star trusted review remains on the site as it was a confirmed purchase. Looks like WAE+ are actively taking down those reviews where they failed to fulfil the orders. Also each time you edit your review it jumps back to the top so I'll keep changing it slightly so it remains at the top as a health warning to anyone thinking of doing business with them :)

Please take notice and avoid, this was my second conversation with them today: snd.sc/19zjLSK

Sorry, not allowed to post links yet, but put http:// infront of snd.sc/19zjLSK

Make your own minds up about WAE+ :rotfl:

    Now to submit to Watchdog.

That was hilarious - you were lucky to get someone in Birmingham. Everyone I spoke to was in India and refused to give me their manager's contact details. No email, no phone no nothing. One time they said they don't even have a manager they report into...sheer incompetence.
