Unfortunately I'm also a victim of these scammers.
Ordered back in May, website said item was in stock. Rang them yesterday (after receiving no reply from countless emails), and was told it wasn't in stock but if I waited another month they 'may' be able to get it for me.
Asked for an immediate refund, and was told it would take 30 days for them to process. lol. To make matters worse I reviewed them on trust pilot, but the company managed to get my review deleted for some reason. grrr. May try a chargeback as we paid via credit card.
The trustpilot reviews are interesting. The only favourable ones appear to come from new joiners with only one review, and all appear to use the same style of writing. I spent some time reporting those reviews that I thought were fraudulent (i.e ANY positive ones) which was quite therapeutic. Now if we all did the same then perhaps less people will end up being conned..0 -
Well, After finally losing my rag with this lot I have posted a review on Trustpilot.
I was curious to see people saying their unfavourable reviews had been taken down, and I thoughtI would test the water. Sure enough, my disparaging but carefully worded diatribe was removed pending an investigation, leaving more favourable reviews at the top. The reason given was that I was missing proof of purchase. Since the review was activated from a link in an e mail they sent me after I ordered asking me to rate my purchase, I can only conclude that Trustpilot are not to be trusted.
I;m currently awaiting the result of filling in a dispute form for my bank and hope that will help. The trail has gone cold now as far as WAE+ are concerned, I didn't even receive a reply to my last query on their customer form0 -
Yes WAE+ seem to have an Army of people patrolling trustpilot taking down any negative reviews. I think the only way we can combat this is to do the same...0

A friend of ours found the following....
You may want to warn others about this WAE+ offshoot--Extaq.com.
Directors of which are
Mr Suman Suman Roy (WAE+ e-commerce lead)
Miss Khairunnisa Khairunnisa Ishak
They have 7 reviews at present on Google shopping. This will make you smile as 3 of the 5 star reviews are almost certainly posted by the Directors (see below)
Really really good prices, Fast delivery, easy to navigate 'friendly' interface. Highly recommended!

I ordered a camera from them, price was good and it was delivered before the delivery date. Would recommend others to use and will surely use them again. Read full review

i came across this site online, ordered a hard drive through them as the price was good. Was a little concerned having never used them before however the order arrived before time. very happy with the service and would recommend others to try them .

Fraudulent reviews seem to be made by involved associates of the sister companies ... And not to mention the previous review tampering by freelance reviewers paid to submit hoax or positive reviews to manipulate companies appearance.
Google search following Guardian UK & fake-reviews-plague-consumer-websites0 -
Beware! I ordered from this company at the beginning of May some headphones for daughters birthday, they did not arrive, I chased 6 weeks after paying, and was told they were out of stock. I have still not had a refund almost 8 weeks later They are absolutely shocking, I am surprised they are still in business, I am now going to get onto my credit card and get a refund that way.0
-
I thought I was careful about online shopping until these guys turned up. Before I even ordered, I checked price comparison sites, looked at numerous "consumer" review sites and was overall convinced that it was legit, if a little slow
If only I had had that moment of doubt I usually get. There seems to be a r4aft of informat6ion out there sayimg this lot are ok. all false. They also have a dedicated team wanting 5o remove unfavourable reviews. As of now, any price comparison sites, and trustpilot for certain, are under suspicion. I wonder how it would pan out suggesting that these guys were accessories to fraud... At the very least they allow good reviews to be posted of a terrible company0 -
Likewise, I would caution anyone against using this company.
They took my money for an item before even checking whether it was in stock. I received an email two weeks later saying they did not have it. I asked for an immediate refund and received another message saying this would be done. However, only today - over another month after that - have I received an email to confirm that the refund has now been authorised and should take another 3 to 5 days to show in my account. Utterly disgraceful.0 -
To anyone who has had money taken and so far not refunded, please discuss this with your bank or card company as most will chargeback the transaction with evidence i.e email confirming out of stock.
The sooner you do this the sooner you stop them from earning interest on your money.
If you can report the matter also to Trading Standards the too have an open case.
Good luck and all the best.0 -
I recently bought a graphics card from them with a price that turned out to be too good to be true. Ten minutes after purchasing said item I learned from reviews and forums like this that this company has terrible business practices so i then cancelled my order, I also rang them to confirm this.
With my order displaying that it had been cancelled I noticed 2 days later that they had still taken the money from my account.
I then rang them again to be told that it takes up to 30 days to process a refund.
I rang the bank with them telling me that they couldn't do anything as it's classed as a 'change of mind'.
I have left an email with trading standards on what the next step should be.
This company is a joke0 -
Have received an email from Birmingham Trading Standards.... They are still investigating my complaint.
Send your complaints to Mike.Gutowski@birmingham.gov.uk, the more they see the more reason they will have to shut them down, or prosecute and fine.
It took Trading Standards 3 months just to respond, but I believe anyone who's mistreated by WAE+ should be heard.
May also support any credit card or bank chargebacks.
Trading Standards direct email Mike.Gutowski@birmingham.gov.uk
Best of luck everyone.0
