Hi YM just trying to work out FD myself. They are the first to say they accept the DMP payments but want to merge my CC into my OD to reduce interest. But they are waiting for me to say yes, and have now charged my CC £120 interest plus £12 late payment fee
Guess I will need to say yes go ahead as long as it really will reduce the charges and interest.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
SCARED, CONGRATULATIONS ON THE BIRTH OF YOUR DAUGHTER :j
I agree with SEA, enjoy the precious time you have with your kids and dont let debt worries spoil that. I know its easy to say, but you wont get that time again. You never know whats round the corner.

Thats terrible £120 interest plus £12 late payment. I am surprised CCCs have not got back to you yet.0 -
One thing I am find strange is that it's over halfway between paydays on my first month and
(a) I have money in my account still
(b) I have a small amount of savings
(c) I have money left, allocated for the gas and electric keys without having to scrabble around trying to work out how to pay them!!working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

Its the normal interest rate on that CC and the lowest one of the three
Bit naffed off about the late payment fee though when they say they have agreed the DMP!working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

newlywed.
I am in the same boat. First time for ages i have had some savings. I have also opened 3 other savings account for car/birthdays and emergency. I thought as Payplan budgeted for them i should. Before i would have bimbled along and when something needs paying put it on my CC. I think we have all become responsible forward thinking people. Those poor people who are rich do not know the feeling of revelation that we have when our LBM is reached. They just go along without a care in the world. Poor things :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thanks YM - it feels really weird tho, having money still.
OH said this morning he couldn't believe we were about to top up the gas and electric before they'd run out/gone onto emergency. I now note it in my spending spreadsheet so I know exactly when we put money on it and roughly guessing when it should run out
I feel so organised it's starting to scare me - something has to go horribly wrong - surely???working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
I know it sounds weird but i prefer having a key meter for gas and electric. I know it is more expensive but i know how much i have left on both and budget accordingly.
One thing i am finding suprisingly difficult is this NSD.
I thought i would breeze through it but i am constantly thinking that i have spent no money. I can only liken it to giving up smoking;)
I know what i will do. When DD comes home from School she can set up her imaginary shop and then i can buy something with imaginary money. Hope she sets up a cafe as the plastic eggs are slightly more palatable than the ones OH cooks :rotfl: :rotfl:
God i hope she does not see this

£124.33 left. Works out at £8.88 per day.
My god i have turned into a nerd. I do apologise.
Anyway should be plenty even if my Volvo will need filling up again before payday. Might not fill it up though as it takes 70 litres
My god again. I am a nerd with a Volvo. Off now to re assess image :rotfl:
