Thanks YM and newlywed
I have made 2 payments and third one nearly due end of the month, the first one was really helpful, then I got assigned another and thats when I sent a message and never had a reply and after looking today I have another name in the case office bit now.
I will get organised soon and look to see who has stopped interest and who needs some letters sending to them to request they stop interest. I know my current accounts just keep on piling the interest on but the credit cards seem to have mostly stopped the interest.
I must also get back into selling on ebay again..... I am tryingto sell so decluttering now will make my life easier in the long run.
I will have another look at my budget ans see what I can divide it into. ING wil think I'm mad!!!0 -
Thank you for your lovely posts you've made me feel loads better. I think it just helps to get it of your chest.;)
Just wondered how much roughly you all spend on shopping a week??
I spend about 45 - 50 for 2 adults, a toddler and a baby (well she only has baby milk and nappies which comes to £12)
And if any of you have any cheap dinner ideas, I'm not a fantastic cook but am willing to give anything a try to save money.

Hi everyone
Glad to hear everything is going ok with everyone. We are the same as everyone very weird to be incredit before my hubby gets paid on friday, but love it.
We got through to payplan, our case officer was great altered some of our income on justabank so that's now sorted.Told him about our first default notice,he said not to worry as Tesco c/c and loan have agreed to the DMP as well as Egg.
Even though Lloyds have been contacting me non stop they have recieved the paperwork on us but haven't bothered to read it as yet.So next time they phone rings i will have something different to say,lol .
Payplan think we are not being paid the right amount for child benefit can anyone give me idea how much 1st and 2nd child should get a month?

newlywed.
Forgot about savings for me. Will get one sorted i think.
scared.
with the food shooping i am trying to get it down to at least £40 per week. That is for 2 adults and 2 children.
Have you looked on the old style tread. There are loads of good tips on there and menu planning tips. Give it a visit . It has certainly helped me.

Scared- family of 4 with ds still in nappies & formula (cow milk intolerant so can't go onto lactofree millk like his sis yet, but soon hopefully!) and I have a CCCS budget of £315 a month. However, I probably spend 40-50 a week if being good!
A meal they both like (shockingly as ds is a fussy thing) is Crusty pasta bake - v cheap as I get the kg bags of pasta from Tescos, value cheese, broccoli & breadcrumbs, I use a crust and whizz it up, or I use the golden breadcrumbs (big container) and it seems to end up fine!
Big portions too - so I hvae it with oh and kids and then again next day for lunch me and kids!
Crusty Pasta & Broccoli Bake:
400g penne or macaroni
1 red onion, chopped (i use whatever onion I have!!)
250g head broccoli, stalks chopped small, florets halved (ie to make it tiny for the kids and OH!! I also tend to use a medium sized broccoli and ignore the weight!)
1 veg stock cube
1 tsp mustard (I don't add but you could)
200g pot half fat creme fraiche (about 59p in Tesco)
100g grated cheddar
4 tsbp breadcrumbs
1/2 tsp mixed herbs
1. Boil pasta, onion and broccoli stalks in plenty of boiling water for about 7 mins, then add broccoli florets and cook for another 3 mins. Reserve about 400ml of the water, then drain the pasta and veg.
2. Return the reserved water to the pan, dissolve the stock cube, whisk in the mustard and creme fraiche, season to taste. Bring to boil. Stir in drained pasta, veg and half the cheese, mising til melted.
3 Tip the pasta and veg into a shallow ovenproof dish. mis together the remaining cheese, breadcrumbs and herbs and scatter over the top of the pasta.
4. Grill for about 3 mins, until it starts to go a little brown. Remove and let it stand for 5 mins before serving (or a little longer - it stays warm and 'sets' a little - yummy!!).
I hope this is useful - let me know if you try it and if you like it! It's a full storecupboard recipe for me!CCCS DMP:Feb 07

Hi.
Really must go now as i have been on here to long.
I might start a new thread along the lines of ' Do you feel guilty being on here when there is SO much to do'
Can i say how nice it has been this afternoon to hear about people feeling good having money left over/saving etc each month.
How many of us could have said that a few months ago before we started our DMP.
To everybody  .
Well done and thank you
