It is very helpful to read through these posts and have printed off the recipe Sea and will try it tonight. Have done pasta bake before but this sounds healthier and tastier maybe
This thread is addictive so must go and do some gardening.
Welcome to new posters and good luck to others who have posted again recently. Congrats on the baby too.0 -
Good Morrow to you all.
loubie-lou. Egg are one of mine and so far they have been very good. Have not stopped interest etc yet as i am in the early atages of the DMP with first payment going out on the 1st this month. Fingers crossed though.
bowz25. I know what you mean about thinking money problems 24/7. I was the same at the start and it does get better believe you me.
Scottishmummy. Go Volvo. Good luck with your MOT Tuesday. I see you must have a posher one than me because mine is 9 years old. I brought a Volvo for the simple fact that it has 7 seats(2 in the back) and was relativly cheap(Brought off Ebay). So far very good but i must admit it is hard to keep the petrol pump going once it gets past £50.
No post yet and i did manage my NSD yesterday :j . Also the HM casserole was a roaring success.
Hope you all have a lovely day.

Hi everyone.
Is a lovely day here (first time it hasn't rained for more than a week) so I am having a busy morning. This is my third load of washing in the machine (the other two loads are now blowing nicely in the wind). You might think whats so special about that so I will explain:- Before my DMP I would have filled up the washing machine regardless of the weather and then chucked them all in the tumble dryer. But now every time I hear the tumble dryer whirring round I think of all the pounds its going to cost me and wait for the rain to stop!!!!! (unless we run out of clothes to wear!!!)
I have phoned Citi Cards and they said it would be okay to wait until CCCS pay them on 25th (just another computer generated letter). The chap I spoke to was really very nice so it brightened up my day.
I have also opened up a Websaver Halifax a/c today to put money away for car tax, telephone bill etc. I figured if it stayed in my a/c I would spend it then would be struggling when the bill arrived.
No post today as yet but sometimes the postie doesn't come until after 12.00
Do you agree that when the sun shines it really does make everything (debts included) seem easier.
Hope you are all having a good day.:j PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTS :jPiggy points - 155

Although CCCS make payments on the 25th it often doesn't reach the creditors until the 28th of the month. I had this problem with a couple of my creditors continually saying I was late with the payment but a quick call to explain this and they changed their dates so now I don't get hassled much at all.
YM I have the V40 so only 5 seats but despite being an estate it is actually quite small (narrow) can't get three booster seats in the back when I am doing the various pick ups for clubs etc, and when we went camping last year by the time we had tent, sleeping bags, stove, gas, mats clothes etc in there we had to pile extras under the kids feet in the back. However I wouldn't like to get rid of it. - If it ain't broke don't fix it.The person who moves a mountain begins by carrying small stones.

Hi everyone, hope all is well.
Where have people opened their savings accounts any recommendations?
I already have an acount that I keep for bills only that my wages go into. I then transfer the left overs into another account and thats what I use for spending. I then go to the post office and I have a savings stamp card. You can buy stamps of £5 and then you can pay for your car tax with it. It is a bit of a pain having to go to the post office but it means that I know that my car tax money is safe and unspendable.
However, I like the idea of spliting the money left after bills into separate accounts for things like clothes etc.
Bowz: Keep strong the phone calls and letters do suck but try not to let them get to you. Just follow Teecees instructions for dealing with the phonecalls. Then come on here and have a good rant!
HardleyLisa: I know what you mean about the tumble drier I used it to dry bedding and towels the other day as it just hadn't stopped raining and I felt so guilty!
Going to switch forums now to try and find some good meal ideas.
Take care everyone- Sweety:wall: Only Dead Fish Go With The Flow!!!

Scottishmummy.
I have the V70 estate and there is load of room. I could do with a roof box however but they are SO expensive.
sweety.
I have my savings account with the Halifax. I can open these online and i tend to think of them as sort of pots i would have at home. Seems a bit safer than having cash around the home.
Just a quick one. When(and if) your creditors agree to the DMP do they contact me to let me know or will they let Payplan know. Is there anywhere on the Justabank site where it tells you if creditors have accepted?
Have not heard anything yet. Not unduly worried as it has only been a short while but was just wondering.
Regards

Sweety:- Like Yellow Monkey I have also just opened one with the Halifax online (Websaver a/c) - if you bank with Halifax it is easy to do online and a/c is opened immediately.
Yellow Monkey:- The ones i've heard from replied to me but not sure if they also let CCCS know. Perhaps someone who has a DMP with Payplan will be able to answer better.:j PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTS :jPiggy points - 155

YM: I have just received a letter from my Alliance and Leicester credit card saying that they have accepted my DMP. I have just rung the CCCS asking the same thing. They said that they are not informed by the creditors of any acceptances. So I have to ring them and let them know when people have accepted. They said not to worry about sending in copies of the letters though. I don't know if this applies to Payplan as well.

HardleyLisa.
Thanks for that. I thought they might reply to me directly.
The Halifax websaver accounts are great. I have 5 now. I think being turned down for loans for so long now it is nice to apply for a savings account and get accepted straight away. Think I will keep it at 5 though or i will end up having an account for everyday of the month :rotfl: :rotfl: . Now there is an idea.
