Hi There
Payplan rang me last night and i'm going to start a DMP aroung 1st July.
Can anybody tell me about there experiances with Egg (loan and c card), Cahoot Loan and Barclays (overdraft)? Will they freeze my interest?
I'm just scared about them sending nasty letters etc, luckily i don't think any of them have my landline number!
great thread btw!

Barclays are one of my creditors (loan) and they rejected my DMP because it would take too long to pay back. They have shut my loan a/c and passed it to their DCA and said it is likely they will accept reduced payments on a DMP. The only problem is they are going to close my current a/c as well. I have already opened another no frills a/c with Halifax.
Don't know much about the others but someone on here will probably be able to help you.
I am also scared about natsy letters etc but haven't really received any as yet.
I'm also lucky that none of my creditors have landline number. The line is in my partner's name (not same surname) and it is also ex-directory.:j PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTS :jPiggy points - 155

Scared:- Citi cards is one of my creditors. They will accept DMP as long as I make first payment within 7 days. The only problem with this is as I have already paid CCCS this month it will mean Citi Cards will get double this month. I must ring CCCS in the morning to see what I should do.
Amani and Rayday 2:- Hopefully I will be as lucky with Studio and Great Universal. I only owe them £120 each so hopefully shouldn't be a problem. CCCS has allocated them £5 each so they will be paid up in 2 years (unlike all the others!!!).
I have joined the £2 savings club (only have £2 so far) and Pigsback (150 points so far) - must get round to sorting out my sig.:j PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTS :jPiggy points - 155

Loubie Lou - We have an egg loan and credit card and they have been fine with us, we owe them about £40k and only paying them £10 a month. They've been one of the nicest and called once and said it had been excepted and not to worry.
Hardlylisa - make sure you speak to cccs about citi. cccs said that they can be really crafty and get you to do things that your not meant to. Mind you my husband has a card with them as well and they havent bothered him at all!!! good luck XXProud to be member 22 of the DMP support thread

Hi everyone,
Welcome back scared and CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of your lovely Daughter.
HardleyLisa Barclaycard were the first to accept my DMP no trouble at all, no nasty letters or calls. Capital One were brilliant and even wished me luck!. So good luck to you! Most creditors accept the payments eventually as it is in their best interests to do so. At least they are assured that they will receive something from you.
Loubie Lou - Welcome to the thread, lovely to have you with us! Try not to get too stressed (easier said than done I know!) If you do receive any calls, simply quote your Payplan number, tell them you are on a DMP and to only contact you in writing. Be firm but polite. If there is anything you are not sure of give Payplan a ring they should be able to put your mind at rest. Post here if you have any questions and we will help if we can. Even if you just want a chat or a rant feel free!!
Hope you are all well and feeling fine, got to go for a bit but be back soon!

Well the first one's only good if you live in or near London - stewarding at Arsenal. I believe they're the best paid, definitely the best trained. Starting pay is £34.50 if you're in the stands and £43 if you're on an exit gate for 6 hours. New stewards usually alternate. That's the pay after deductions - they don't tell you what it is before. I know the football season has just finished but there's a waiting list - they start stewards in groups so as soon as they've got a group waiting they call them all in. If you want more info message me.
The other one I just read about in the rich life letter (ha!). I'm copying from it here - 'Appearing in police identity parades is a brilliant, easy way of making yourself a bit of pocket money... You are typically paid £10 or £15 for the first hour and £5 thereafter. (Rates of pay vary from police force to police force so check at your local station).'
Once again, if you want more details message me. Don't want to post too much here if people aren't interested. If a few of you are, I'll post it here. Please don't reply in this thread as I'm too busy at the mo to go thru all the (admittedly very friendly & helpful) posts.
Hope you're all well.
VivGo for it VivCk, I'd be delighted to hear them :T
Hope you're well

hi everyone
only joined recently, just in early stages of sorting dmp with cccs. ( it will be for 16 years) on less if wages go up etc.
I have received details from co-op bank re new account should be getting debit card soon with pin. I am sending all details to cccs on thursday as husband and myself sorting figures out correctly for them.
I have all my recent credit statements ready however worried as missed about 3 payments now two being lloyds cc payments late by 1 week.
Also have loan with lloyds and cancelled dd and payment was due today. Received phone call tonight and it was def lloyds as they left message saying please call us back. cccs have told me to just say on dmp with them and to give them ref details.
I am really worried now as this is the start of the creditors ringing and only a few days late paying. I have heard lloyds can be bad and also have overdraft with them too and a personal loan with 2 years left to go.
Hubby gets paid on thursday and we are going to try and offer them min token payment if we can and if we have our new bank account open. Hubby is worried about telling bank just yet as his wages will go into old account this week no time to stop them going in until next week and the bank will claim them back and we will have nothing to live on if they know.
All your posts are giving me hope it just seems endless at the beginning all the sorting out etc dreading the phone calls, i am going from feeling positive to feeling petrified. I am upset about missing payments and credit rating but its for the best and i wish i had done this sooner. Only managed to pay as was borrowing from one card to another etc leaving no money for shopping and using visa for it.
sorry to go on but it is on my mind 24/7 at the moment hubby is asleep he deals with this differently to me but he does worry in his own way.
will keep on the boards as they are keeping me sane so far.
bye for now0 -
Bowz25 - You are doing so well keep it up!
It is really scary at first but it does get better, the one thing you must take comfort from is how brave you have been.
You have taken the first, huge step in getting your lives in order. You have faced your debts and are starting to sort them out. That a great acheivement!!!!
Be Proud Of Yourself!!!:T
It may be a long winding road but there is a light at the end of the tunnel so hang in there and keep posting. We will help all we can but always remember you should be proud of yourself and you will get there in the end.
Stay Strong:D and Take Care.

Hi Everyone
Started catching up on all the threads the other night just before they were closed for a while and only just got back on this evening again so had loads to catch up on. Hi to all the newbies. There have been quite a few in the last week or so. Bowz25 - things always look bad to begin with but once the dmp gets on its way things do settle down. Sometimes it can take as much as 6 months before creditors accept the dmp but they usually do in the end.
YM I'm a volvo nerd too. Love me love my volvo:rotfl: I once got to £55 when filling the tank then got scared and stopped. It registered full on the dash but I hadn't reached the clicking level on the pump so could probably have got a bit more in. It is going for its MOT next tuesday but I don't think there is anything up with it - there should be a fingers crossed smilie. If anything it might need brake pads/discs but hopefully not. 8 years old and so far it has only ever needed the odd wiperblade and a tyre once.
Rest of the news for me is I have decided to claim job seekers allowance. Didn't claim it before as I left my last job when self-employed but that was 6 months ago so been told I can claim if I want to. Have interview for that on Thursday. It means it is aso easier to claim council tax benefit too rather than giving them copies of bank statements, DH's accounts etc.
However also have a job interview next week. It is only for 10 hours a week and is temporary for 7 weeks, but if it has me taking home £60 a week for 6 weeks it will help towards things for a bit but I need to check if I would then have to reclaim the jobseekers as they will know the end date of the job if I get it and will hopefully just be able to continue it.
Also shopping around for car insurance and house insurance through Bakanda to get the cash back. Considering the norwich union pay as you drive option as my mileage should be less than 7000 which on the quote works out about £40 cheaper than currently and I'll get £30 back on bakanda. Has anyone tried the pay as you drive one?
Okay sorry but that was yet another epic from me. I really want to try and post more often on here but also want to stay away as it is so addictive.:rotfl:
