No offence to YM and Joek (honest - well maybe Joek cause I'm not one of his faves!!!) but it seems to be a man thing, my oh just the same (he rides a motorbike too or he would if it wasn't in the garage needing a bit of tlc - another bone of contention). You don't have to apologise for moaning on here thats what we here for and a vent on here can be quite theraputic!! You really should take care of YOU!!

Hi Sea just a quickie to say glad things went well at the solicitors, be sure they know more about marital law than your oh!! I have a friend in much the same situation and things have got nasty - it may be worth noting in your diary any little incident that comes up. Stay strong honey!

Welcome to the newbies sorry haven't replied to everyones posts but I think of you all often and am really missing the "sweet" and "tv" nostalgia moments - oh for a couple of hours spare to have a light hearted virtual chat.

Hey folks new to the website and forum so I will say hi to everyone here and now.

I have been in debt for a while now and always felt like I was on top of it. I have never missed a payment on any account I am up to date with all accounts but I am struggling just a bit with paying out so much I pay out £479.00 a month and have decided to go for a DMP. Just wondered if you guys would agree with my decision. My debts are:

Nationwide Loan: £9000
HPI on car: £3800
Credit cards: 2718.51
TOTAL: 15518.51

Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers. :beer:

Welcome and well done on joining the gang.

I recently joined and the best thing to do is post a statement of arrairs (SOA)

If you look on page 1 and see Southernscousers sticky this will tell you how to go about it. Basically it is a list of your incoming and outgoings,amount owed and %rates if you have them.

Once that is done it will be easier for people to suggest ways of cutting back and a way forward.

Since i joined I have set up a DMP with Payplan and first payment goes out to them tomorrow.

Morning all.

Well, I received a letter from EGG terminating my card with them and mentioning the forwarding of the debt to an external Debt collection agency...

I'm assuming that my other debts with EGG will follow the same pattern. I suppose that this could be a better outcome really, then them issuing me with a CCJ or something equally nasty!

It'll be interesting to see just how they contact me though - the phone number EGG have got for me is out of date, so they'll have to resort to letters! Which will make life a bit easier.

Bit of a shame that EGG didn't accept the CCCS proposal though, as they were one of the first people to discuss these things with me when I first acknowledge my debt problems (before going with CCCS).

Oh well, I don't think there's anything to worry about at the mo' - there's nothing they can take from me anyway!

I also have a debt, c/c with egg have let them know that i was on DMP with payplan they were was passing me onto another dept.Haven't heard anything as yet.
Would like to know how you get on .

Just recieved postie visit today. 2 letters,one from First direct and 1 from EGG, stating that if the arrears are not settled by a certain date i will be served a official default notice. Still at least things are progressing and as they say No pain,no gain.

Anyway sent off copies to Payplan and contacted creditors by secure message stating my Payplan ref no and that they will be in touch shortly.

Thats all the post today so not to bad.
