I'm feeling a bit like a lot of you today - frustration not knowing what's happening, wanting to get stuck in but also feeling a little confused as to who has accepted, what charges I'm getting etc.

Also a qu - if you want to give an overpayment to your DMP do you have to do it through the monthly payment, or can you make other payments as well (not to creditors, to DMP)? I'm assuming it's a monthly thing but just wanted to check. I'm worried about money being used up for other things when it could be for this!

hi all and welcome njc 12 well i have had a strange couple of days. got a letter from cccs about my debts and silly me had put my style store card down as creation so i sorted that out today. they had also decided to put my g.e money c.c and evans store card separately even though they are the same debt:eek: so sorted that as well. got a letter from welcome saying your in arrears we have called numberous times (even though they havent called once?) and we are added £20.00 on for this letter. also got a phone call from funding co operation saying we cant get your details on cccs website so i told them well you wont be able to. i havent even got my welcome pack yet oh ok he said i will pass the details on oh and then had a number didnt know on phone so i rang it thank u for calling first national an advisor has tried to contact u only thing is there payment isnt due till 17th march and they got paid last month as didnt cancel d.d in time oh and the best one a letter from yorkshire bank u are four hundred and odd pounds over your overdraft limit and until this is clear we will be charging you £25.00 a day im only over the limit because they took there loan payment even though i asked them not to sorry for the rant but feel much better now on a postive note i had a nsd and i won a tenner on saturday dream number:j

I could be wrong, but I think you can make a lump sum one-off payment. That's what I'm hoping to do. I'm so excited about making extra payments (not that it will happen very often!), it's so much more exciting than clothers shopping... what's that again

I'm a bit weepy now, just read TFU's thread and watched the bit on the local news about the family killed on the A1 on Saturday - so so so sad.

oh hunteress what a bad day!! I can only too well imagine your frustration with Yorkshire bank - HSBC did the same, although thankfully don't seem to be doing the daily charging thing. Might just go check actually...

Sorry to hear about all the S-H-*-T you've had to put up with today. I can't believe Yorkshire Bank especially - that's outrageous!!! Have you called them since? Let us know if you get it sorted out.

I DON't BELIEVE THIS!

I am now £2122.92 overdrawn (1500 limit, not that that matters now as no longer my acc, but will get the £25 charge again + interest. ) due to them taking my grad loan payment out AGAIN despite me cancelling it three times. (both HSBC). At least that will have gone off that debt, but not really in effect as it's not debt + charges + interest in the overdraft. *&^%$!!!!!

Guess that answers my question about acceptance.

Ah - I thought it was a no-school snow day!! I was so jealous that you were getting one of those! Actually, I think has also been a nsd, in fact made money today too - yyyyyyyyeeeeeeeaaaaaaaahh!!

Sea - sorry to hear that. Just think soon, you're interest and charges will be frozen and things will settle down. It's the storm before the calm (can you tell I made that up?!). Keep smiling poppet.

I woke up this morning with this nagging feeling that on the DMP letters I sent out to my creditors, I failed to put in a date of when the damn thing's going to be starting. I was so involved in making sure I got all the account details correct and making sure I sent out all the token payments, I just cannot for the life of me remember whether I filled in the box to say 'March' for the start!

Hopefully, I did and I'm hoping it won't make much of a difference, but until I get the paperwork back from CCCS I'm getting annoyed with myself!

8 days since posting things back to CCCS and no word yet...Fingers crossed I get it soon...

Still, if the DMP fails to start in March and has to be put back to April, it might actually make things a bit easier in a way - I'm still waiting for details of my new bank account, so at least the overdraft will go down a little bit (as I'll just give out token payments again).

Another plus point is that all of the creditors have banks the token payment cheques I sent them, which means they can weedle out of saying they never received a letter of my intentions!
