Ha ha, it sounds similar to my mum. She's filled my boot up with her old stuff last weekend went I went to visit. She doesn't know about my debt, but I think she knows something is going on.

I like Ebay but lots of my stuff doesn't sell and it seems to take ages to make a posting. I've downloaded this Turbo thingie-ma-jig, must give it a go!

I agree the challenge is brilliant. I'm not putting my official total up until I hit £100... good job I'm only going for bronze!!

Anyway, I'm off to bedfordshire. Was lovely chatting to you - speak again soon :hello:

    Afternoon everyone

    Update from me:

Debt Enforcement letter from Viking Services saying that they had taken over the account on behalf of GE and that I should contact them by 6 March (which is today) to avoid further action.

Phoned CCCS. He told me not to be too concerned as Viking are just a department within GE and they use this label to frighten people.

I asked on the phone if any creditors had accepted as yet. He said they had heard nothing and that creditors normally would contact me and not them. Again he said no news is good news. I wish they wouldn't say that as I find it hard to digest.

Anyway in a desperate need for someone to say yes I phoned Cahoot. The account is with another department. I got a nice lady. :A She said that they neither formally accept or refuse but will issue a default notice as I'm in breach of the original agreement and then as long as payments are received from CCCS then they are happy. :j She asked me to confirm the amount on offer as the previous department hadn't updated the system. As she was nice to me I told her that the situation would be reviewed in due course and if I had more money they could have it. I know that's not the way to do things but I was feeling a bit of relief.

I have sent Egg a secure message asking what the score is with them. I couldn't be doing another phone call today. Hopefully I will hear back from them tonight. If they could send me something positive it would make me really happy.

Hope all is ok with you all today.

    Afternoon everyone :hello:

EX - Just called CCCS and was told exactly the same, Spoke to a lovely chap who made me feel much better. He told me that my creditors had been sent the payment proposals on 12 th Feb and it was usual for them to contact me by telephone or letter rather than them. He said regardless of whether they accept or not I should under no circumstances let them try to make me pay more or any monies directly to them. He said just explain that i am on a DMP with CCCS, they have my I + E and i am paying all i can afford.
He was so lovely and has really put my mind at rest like he said they can't have what i haven't got. He told me to ring anytime if i needed any advice and now i feel much better.

Hope every one is well and stress free!!

Got to go to college now. Speak later

  • Well done ex and teecee good for you. Confusion with tax credits as rang again because can't understand the major reduction (£104 p/w down to £19 p/w) particularly as statements still same  .Anyway further confusion now as it seems the guy I spoke to last Thursday changed my income for 06-07 down from £4118 - £0  so they've issued a new award substansially increased possibly to the amount of £2,000  . Lady today amended it again advised me to hold on to any substansial overpayment await the newer award and then return the overpayment ... lord I'm confused. Though I think I know where she's coming from. What a performance!!!

    Hi smilealot :)

IDAAS - Gotta agree with the argh tax credits bit. They told us we couldn't have the disability element then we phoned back a week later and spoke to someone else who said, of course we should be getting it and back dated it!

  • Hi Gemmzie no problems before even with all the overpayment in previous years always been very straightforward - but totally bamboozeled now! Sorry to hear you've had a stressful day Sea know what you mean about running around after kids somedays we wonder why we ever had them then they go to bed and we think "aaaagh bless". When I think my eldest is 19 and my youngest 4 with a 14 and 12 year old in between I definately think I was mad!! But love em all and couldn't live without them - aaah bless!!
    Take care

I Everyone, how are you all?? Got a phonecall from Abbey, telling me that i was in arrears, and that its now been passed to the collections department.
I told the not very happy or understanding lady that i was with CCCS and that they would recieve there reduced payment by the 25th, she then told me that they hadn't recieved any letters from either me or the CCCS. im sure they have cause the token cheque payment has been cashed!! She then said that i need to contact them to tell them to contact Abbey:confused:
So i did, was on hold forever after been engaged the whole morning and finally was told just to ignore them and if they ring again to give them CCCS number for them to ring!!
Still heard nothing from Halifax, GE, HFC, freemans or littlewoods. apparently all the paperwork was sent out to them on the 15th Feb,we just like to know now though.
Smilealot, yes i wish i could change my number, they have my moby and work, they same to ring work all the time though!!
Sorry to hear some of you are having stressfull times.
Heres a hug to you all:grouphug:
