Good Morning everyone..hope we are all okay..:A

Well I have had enough today and after our call last night from Lloyds TSB have decided to take the bull by the horns and complain to the Financial Ombudsman. Wow ! he was really good..( on the phone silly ! )..and so helpful. he was totally understanding about the situation and reckons that this site has given them so much business as people are becoming so much stronger as they are armed with all the "know-how" and fight these institutions. I only rang to complain that they are not helping our situation by not acknowleding Payplan let alone the harrassing calls we receive each day and night. We got talking and I mentioned about the Reclaiming of bank charges and said that I have not had a reply to my second letter and he said they could also take this complaint on aswell. This all happened before 9.15am this morning so I am well happy !
It has restored my faith in the Consumer Fighting Back :j

Incidentally I asked about this 40 day window Lloyds have been saying about dealing with claims. The Ombudsman say that they have in fact 80 days from the receipt of the FIRST LETTER to get the claim done and dusted. i.e Paid Up.:T

I said that I was at the court stage and he said not to worry as they are all still quaking in their boots and will always settle the claims. If there is a court date set, they will settle before the date if not on that date. I WILL GET MY MONEY ! ! ! :D

Monday morning and so far so good...and the Flipping Postman hasn't been yet !:T

    Hi

Can anyone tell me if they have any experience of a successful complaint for harassment? Further to my !!!!!ing about Hellifax last night, I wondered if I had grounds for a complaint.

Basically, I have an arrangement with them, which has stopped all interest and charges for 6 months, for which I am paying £20 per month, instead of the MP of £42. But every month, just after my statement comes out they phone me telling me I'm in arrears, and would I like to make a payment now using my debit card. I keep telling them that I have an arrangement, which they can see once they can be bothered to look! I get a couple of calls a month from them. I know that this is nowhere near as frequent as some of you others, but if I have a plan, surely I shouldn't have to put up with them calling me for further payments. Some of them (as I have come to expect from Hellifax) are totally rude and unapologetic for troubling me.

    Any suggestions?

  • Morning all and hi to the new peeps (definately watching too much cbeebies -sorry)! Daisyblue looks like bluediamond can help, definately does seem wrong for them to carry on doing this. I've had a letter from HSBC today saying they've tried to call - phone hasn't rung since Wednesday so I don't think so!! Anyway they want us to call re our account, another tactic me thinks, had the riddiculous "managed loan" thing on Friday which thankfully I'm not obliged to accept, thank goodness (loan 24,500 interest 23,500 can you believe it!!) and no aknowledgment of CCCS at all. I'm tempted to write back quote my cccs number (AGAIN) and ask them to go through them - what do you think?

    Morning fellow DMPers

IDAAS - I'd definitely write to them with the CCCS number and ask for all further correspondence to go through them and anything else will be considered as harassment and you will contact the Financial Ombudsman

    Hi

I've been reading all your posts for the past month and it's really given me such hope and made me feel not so alone with our debt problems. We have £115,000 which terrifies me to think about as no one seems to be as much debt as that.

We own our own home and my husband is in fulltime work, but I'm at home with a toddler and due with our second in a months time. We spoke to CCCS and we've sent back all the forms and am just waiting to hear back from them to start paying. I feel alot better know we have spoken to them as It has been a real nightmare worrying about our debt for all this time and not knowing how to get ourselfs out of it.

We've just started to get get our reminder letters in from credit card companies, but as we used credit cards to pay other crads they think we are good payers till now!!!

I surpose I'm just getting scared as it's probably going to get nasty just when I've had my baby so not going to be i the right frame of mind when getting all the calls and letters. My husband said just to tell them to call in the eveing when he get's back from work, but I dont want him stressed out as well. I just dont know what to expect and how bad it's going to get.

Sorry it's so long it's just nice to be able to tell people as the only other people that know is my mum and she has been great, but I dont want to worry her too much.

Thanks for listening and good luck to you all.

Daisyblue..just do what I did..complain to someone in authority like the Ombudsman and get them off your backs. They have a code of conduct to adhere to and it is clear that they are not helping your situation. I called them 1st thing as my post says above and they were great. It is just a sure fire way of getting them to play ball and help you help yourself. I have just about had enough of the likes of theses idiots ruining my days and Lloyds and HSBC are the main offenders and they are not going to win. You can't sit back and let them do this to you !>

Thanks BD, would it be cheeky to ask you for the contact details of the people you spoke to?

Just out of interest, how long did it take folk to receive all the paperwork from CCCS - after you had got the original pack and sent off letters to the creditors and all your financial details back to CCCS?

I'm sure it's normal, but it's now been a week, and they want to start payments on the 25th March.

    Any help?

    Thanks.
