Also - my brain might not be working, but just quickly scanned the thread and couldn't see this - have any off you managed to log into the CCCS personal bit yet? I have all the info (password etc) but its not working for me and i know I am probably doing something silly!

    Thanks.
ooh, also I think that Citi have accepted DMP and frozen interest as there was no amount in the interest to be charged bit, but there was on the second page? Very confusing. I am avoiding ringing as it costs loads and I am worried about hassle if they get numbers etc. Avoidance strategy! So only HSBC credit card and Barclays accepted so far.

    Hi everyone!

Kelly - CCCS opening times are 8am til 6pm.

Sea - I managed to get onto the CCCSwebsite just put my client number in login box. Entered the password on next screen and then it automatically took me to a screen to change the password to my own choice. Hope this helps if it still doesn't work give them a ring.

Thanks - I do this but it just goes to a runtime error page. Will ring them if I get a chance tomorrow (doing extra supply work at my school). Also am feeling nosey and want to know if they know who has accepted the DMP. I kind of got the feeling that I shouldn't really contact them unless it was to inform them of a change of creditor (to DCA). Did anyone else get this feeling from CCCS? Or am I being over sensitive as usual!!

sea - I'm going to ring them tomorrow for exactly the same reason, I just need to know who has accepted DMP or not. I can't see why this would be a problem, the lady I spoke to when setting mine up told me to ring if there was anything I was unsure about.
The waiting is unbearable the uncertainty of it all is what i find the hardest thing to deal with!!

    chin up!!

Hi everyone!! Wow - loads to catch up on, been a busy day by the looks of things. I've been wanting to come on here all night, but had (and still got!) so much marking to do

Sea - great new about the creditors starting to accept your DMP, I'm really pleased for you. I know what you mean about the CCCS. I felt that when I first started to enquire about the DMP etc. that I was hassling them and felt bad abotu taking up there time. I also contacted PayPlan, who seemed a bit more relaxed so went with them, but they are probably exactly the same. However, you should definitely call them if they can tell you something that will put your mind at rest. Sorry if I've asked you this already, but are you also a teacher? When you mentioned doing supply work it made me think. No worries if you don't want to talk about any of that stuff though. Just wondered how your DMP income is working when you are on supply? Can you declare a steady income? Hope there is lots of work out there for you just now.

Ex - how you feeling? Tired I bet. Hopefully you have a better sleep tonight. I popped in to Co-Op today and they told me I've been accepted :j Glad to hear about Argos. Hopefully the others will follow suit soon. Don't worry about waffling, it's my favourite pastime! Helps us sort it all out in our head when saying it out loud to someone isn't possible. Keep it up!!

Bluediamond - well done for taking on Lloyds. It's not acceptable what they are doing. So lovely to hear about the nice guy at the other end of the phone. I think we all expect the worse these days! Really interested to hear what happens with your bank charges - fingers and toes crossed for you!

daysieblue - any news on Hellifax? We could start our own "we hate Hellifax" group from the people on this thread alone!

IDAAS - What is this managed loan all about?! Surely Martin would have something to say about the 100% interest rate :rotfl: I wonder if anyone outside this thread has already come across it? Maybe start your own thread?

Teecee - thanks for the lovely comment, although I don't think it's deserved. I hardly know anything compared to you guys. Sometimes it's just good to know that someone is listening, eh? Lovely the signature by the way (and you too IDAAS!) :D 8 messages... how's a popular girl then?! Hope they weren't all from nasty people

scared - welcome!! Looks like we are at pretty much exactly the same stage. This month will be the first time I've ever not paid my minimum payments - eek! I know this maybe sounds like a good thing, but if I'd admitted I couldn't afford the payments earlier (as in years earlier!) I would be in as much of a mess. It's so good being able to read about the other guys experiences of calls etc, helps me know how to deal with them. I know when the time comes I'll be pooing my pants, but hopefully my instinct will say "what would the DMP supporters do?". Good luck and keep in touch :T

Joek - maybe ring CCCS and ask them when the cut off date for starting the DMP in March is? At least then you'll know in advance whether it will be possible or not and can organise another month of token payments?95

95kelly - glad to hear the phone has been quiet. Are you ever tempted to get your phone number changed? My creditors only have my mobile, but even then I've considered changing it. Do you think that's a bit naughty?

    Gemmzie - hello!!!

Wow... think that might be my longest ever post. Sorry if I've missed anyone out, just wanted to catch up on how everyone is doing.

    Speak soon :hello:

    Hi
Thanks for the message - it is nice to know what's happening so I think I will give CCCS a ring now tomorrow to see is they know who's accepted it.

I am a teacher - I only work part time and so gave the CCCS my regular income. I see any extra as a bonus and will be saving it for either a big payment to CCCS, or emergency fund (like I have used some extra money that I got for my car which has died and will cost at least £240 to fix) or for a full and final offer if the debts are referred on to DCAs. I'm not sure what yet. Also not even sure how much I'll be paid (!) as it's at my school so will be paid in my normal pay packet at the end of march.

Have just reread this last paragraph and in true teacher style realise I'd be correcting the hell out of it if I were marking!! :rotfl:

Ha ha, that's funny. I'm a maths teacher, so I'm not bothered at all about the grammatical side of thing on here (good job given my writing sometimes!). That's a good idea about splitting your regular and extra income. I guess you don't need to decide what to do with it, just knowing it's there is comforting in itself.

I've just noticed your Olympic Challenge amount - well done - that's a brilliant achievement! I keep trying but fail miserably. E.g. I took out the Lovefilm promotion on R-Points but forgot to cancel it within the two weeks so I've been billed for a month's service. I still come out on top by about £3, but should've been more on the ball!

Well guess I should stop waffling and finish the marking...

hehe I did the Lovefilm thing! :)
The Olympic challenge has been helped massively by good ebay sales (sis in law giving us stuff) and also selling lots of baby items I'd been saving in the hope of having another as well as a refund from MFI from the kitchen I put on my CC! However, I also think that actually having the challenge has made me much more focussed and determined to sell on Ebay, Amazon etc. I don't think I would have raised this much had I not had the challenge. I do see where some of my debt came from though as I seem to have an awful lot to sell! My mum has been happy that she can help in this way, as she's not in a position financially (and it's my debt) but she's happy to [STRIKE]offload[/STRIKE] give me her [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] treasures to sell. :D
