GG - let us know how it goes with the reclaiming while doing the DMP. I'm too chicken to reclaim as worried they'll be harsh about the DMP arrangements.

I had a small windfall today.
Was just doing some click throughs etc through pigsback to earn some points when I found this one where you had to join a slots website with £10. You got 1500 points for joining and £10 on top of your original wager. So, I joined up, put my £10 on and won £120!
Could only pull out £100 because of the funding rules but hey! not complaining - the £100 went straight back on my Maestro.
    Yippee!

Well done Golddigger! And welcome GreenGrocer.

Sorry to hear about your bad day at work Kelly. On the up side, you're unlikely to get nasty letters tomorrow as these offices don't tend to be open on a Saturday. Unless they used 2nd class mail I suppose... Hmmm.

Blimey Gemmzie - looks like you're a busy bee! Are you doing it full or part-time? How do you find the time to do it? Teaching involves so much work at home. I really want to study towards something else but don't think I could fit it in, although it would be more a leisure thing, so I guess it's not a big deal.

    Good luck with it.

The NVQs are being done at my volunteer job, one day a week. I also have three A Levels to finish and a part-time job

    Hi everyone

Kelly - Sorry to hear about your bad day at work...we always get them when we can least cope with them I always find !

Had Lloyds on the phone tonight asking the same..we want your money...DH told them really calmly about Payplan and they still said we have had nothing!
Told them where to go..after he said we could set up our own DMP with them as they don't charge like PayPlan Do ! ! ! ! ..Doesn't that just say it all about how much they really know about these companies !
    I despair...
Anyway, raining down here in Wiltshire and freezing outside...Gonna jump in the bath now....

WELCOME TO OUR NEW MEMBERS TOO ! !Byeeeee

Sally - can't believe Lloyds called you on a Sunday night. How rude. Think I need a DH to help me field the calls when they start coming in - I'm gonna be a wreck and say yes to everything they say - NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOoooo!

Although you guys keep my head screwed on better than any bloke I could be with just now - so thanks.

Gemmzie - blimey, that's so much work for you. I admire your dedication.

I'm thinking about taking a GCSE in DFW Studies. Anyone else up for it?!

    Evening everyone

Well done everyone on your studies. I did an NVQ in 1993 . It was Level 3 Admin. I have since did a Degree and Masters (Business Studies and Management) which I finished in 2003. I would dearly love to do a PGCE. What's stopping me? 2 things - 1: I would have to give up my job and how would I pay my debts? 2: I don't have GCSE maths :rotfl:. Maybe one day.

Right guys I'm in a serious panic here. I've been reading back on the bank account stuff. As some of you may know I am a secret debtor. My OH knows nothing of it and I hope to keep it that way. He doesn't do debt at all. Anyway as you know the Hellifax are one of my creditors (visa) who I hope will be part of my DMP  We have 2 joint current accounts with the Hellifax. Both have overdrafts and we are currently into both of them (OH doesn't know). I intend to pay off both of these (from OH's salary) over the coming months. He takes little to do with money. As long as I hand him cash now and again he is happy. Our mortgage is also with Hellifax. I'm in a panic now that they may close our joint current accounts. I have no intention of trying to bring the overdraft debt into the DMP. There are masses of bank charges which I don't intend trying to reclaim either as it would open a can of worms too. Is it likely/possible they will close our current accounts because of my DMP? I intend to get rid of the ODs totally and not use them again. Please tell me they won't. My life will fall down round me if they do as I have no way of explaining it to OH. I know that they will retain the capacity to take an amount of cash when they feel like it to pay the visa but I can live with that as long as they don't close the accounts. My OH really does not deserve the nightmare I have created for myself.

    Anyone know?
