Thanks TeeCee - that helps me too.
Well my 4am effort was all fine and well, but I didn't get up until lunchtime today as a result and will have to spend all afternoon catching up with my lesson planning. Guess being a DFW isn't all fun(!)
Have a good Sunday everyone.Member #4 of the DMP Mutual Support Club - DFW Nerd #335

smilealot - is it just me or does this DFW stuff consume everyones brains.
In a good way of course!!:D
I can't remember a time when i have thought so much about my financial situation i spend loads of time now in a pro-active way trying to sort stuff out.
Today i'm supposed to be doing homework for my NVQ but every time i go on the computer i find myself logging onto this site for more tips and advice.
I think I may be addicted!
anyway just thought i'd pop in and say hi, must get back to homeworrk my assessor is visiting tomorrow and i've got so much to do.
keep up the good work all.

Teecee - you're so right!!! I have my laptop on my kitchen table where I am "working"... instead of researching resources, I keep logging on to here and PigPoints etc, doing more clicks. It's worrying for the workrate, but great for the bank balance
How is the NVQ going? I'm a secondary school teacher, so give me a shout (PM or whatever) if you want a tips or resources etc. In fact, I may even have some essays kicking about if that helps? Not to cheat of course, just guide

just two more pieces of homework then i'll be able to chat and not feel guilty.
i'm looking at this site more for my inner peace so thats how i can justify not doing what i'm supposed to be.
The course is going really well and like i said i really love it. Looking forward to the day i'm qualified and can start earning some money to throw at those darn debts i'm determined its not going to take til 2017 to pay what i owe, my plan is to do it at least 2 or 3 years before that!DEBTS @ 1/1/07 - £25,800:eek: DEBT @ 04/05/11 - NIL

Hi everyone, perhaps the dfw thing goes hand in hand with learning - I started a Ba(hons) in Early childhood Studies in Sept 06 and won't finish until 2010! But I'm like you I absolutely love it but can't wait to finish and earn some real money! Although I'll be 46 by then perhaps I'll be considered past it!! I should be doing my study too but have to come and check how everyone is doing first I think dfw is definately addictive - but far healthier than cigarettes me thinks.I stopped smoking 25th June 2007STILL Never complacent but confidentMy debt is GOING DOWN!!!!0

Glad you're enjoying the courses guys. I did my PGCE last year. Was exhausting, but great at the same time.
IDAAS - 46 is not past it at all!!! There were ten out of 35 of us on my PGCE course were over the age of 50 last year. I thought I'd be seen as past it with all the fresh-faced grads around, but I felt the opposite - a really great mix of people and backgrounds. You going into primary teaching at the end of it?
Good luck guys.Member #4 of the DMP Mutual Support Club - DFW Nerd #335

I was 40 two weeks ago and I never really had a clue that I would take a whole new career path at this time of my life. I have always worked in admin since leaving school. now I've taken the bull by the horns and decided to change my life ( in every sense of the word) I feel great about it!!
AND FINDING THIS SITE WAS JUST THE ICING ON THE CAKE!!:j :j
Maybe life really does begin at 40!!!!!
